Becareful blocking numbers to collection companies they could use that as a reason to sue you.  It's best to just talk to them rationally and try to work something out.  It these times none of us are able to pay like we would like but I've always found being upfront and nice to those who call get me much farther than yelling and screaming and hanging up.  All that does is elevate my blood pressure and get nothing resolved.

You know whats shady? People who don't pay for things they buy! Who knew?! So when you call them, tell them you'll pay what you can and then (get this. . .) PAY SOMETHING. Or (even better) don't even rack up unnecessary debt and maybe live frugally and save money. I can't believe those dirty "terrorists" would want their hard earned money that you keep spending and not paying back. Jerks.

First, many people get into debt because they loose jobs or something significant happens and they are unable to pay - so working something out isn't always an option. Second, they are terrorists, they call you and call you and the amount of harassment and verbal abuse is obscene. . .  but whatever makes them feel important, even though they're really just losers sitting in a cubicle and probably have more debt than the person they're calling. I get there are a lot of losers out there who just rack up bills and then never pay or mysteriously disappear, but come on folks it isn't everyone.

They kept calling my number, a wrong number, for a "Jason". Day after day. Wouldn't give up. Robocalls and human calls. I told them they had the wrong number, and they didn't care. I told them that I was on the do-not-call registry and we have no business connections. They claimed they were a "special exception." I have reported them to the FTC.

Not all people who can't make ends meet are losers trying to shirk their bills as the current economic situation has shown. This is a very ignorant statement.

These idiots don't care if they are calling the WRONG number!! They just keep on calling. I have reported them to the FTC.

It seems that everyone has an opinion about others bill paying.  Which one of u [***] know everyones situation.  U know nothing.  Let me tell u [***].  I owned my own home.  After 9/11, My job told me either take the layoff or even better, told me on a friday that I had to transfer to another state on monday.  Now, I dont know all you fools financial status, but personally, I could not afford 2 home payments.  So, before u all voice ur opinion, remember,. Opinions are like [***] eveeryone has one.

Nice reply about the people earning their living from you North Star.  Your people did all that you say they do not.  tried before to work things out with you all but they did nothing but abuse me verbally and threatened.  Nothing nice to say about your company and its tactics.

these people keep calling me. my daughter gave the number to them and we are no longer speaking. she has moved away to another state and every thing. so when the lady calls i tell her that i dont speak to my daughter and i havent for a while. so then i tell her to stop calling this number for her i DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH MY DAUGHTER. the nice lady just hangs up and calls back in a couple of days she called again today so i ask her didnt i just talk to you 2 days ago and she hung up. i then call her back and she will answere the phone and then hang up. at this point all im wating to do is talk to a manager. i understand that my daughter gave out my number. but now that i dont talk to my daughter and havent seen her or heard from her or heard how my new grandson is doing its like this lady i stabbing my heart with a knife. i would love to talk to my daughter but i cant. so just leave me alone..............

You've obviously never been rock bottom poor cause some of us don't have mommys to pay for everything till we get out of college. They should pay what they owe but you can't judge someone because they've spent money they don't have.
