- ALPHA 68| 3 repliesWhen any of these subpar bed wetting fools call to terrorize you,
dial: * 60 # ,then dial * 01 # and hang up while they are still on the line.
They will not bother you because you just blocked their next call. They will have to practice their shady ways elsewhere.- Caller: RUDE OVERCONFIDENT LADY NAMED PAM
- Call type: Unwanted
- wanting to know replies to ALPHA 68| 1 replyhow does that block code work ?
- Joe replies to ALPHA 68Becareful blocking numbers to collection companies they could use that as a reason to sue you. It's best to just talk to them rationally and try to work something out. It these times none of us are able to pay like we would like but I've always found being upfront and nice to those who call get me much farther than yelling and screaming and hanging up. All that does is elevate my blood pressure and get nothing resolved.
- dantheinfoman| 7 repliesYou know whats shady? People who don't pay for things they buy! Who knew?! So when you call them, tell them you'll pay what you can and then (get this. . .) PAY SOMETHING. Or (even better) don't even rack up unnecessary debt and maybe live frugally and save money. I can't believe those dirty "terrorists" would want their hard earned money that you keep spending and not paying back. Jerks.

- Alana replies to dantheinfoman| 1 replyFirst, many people get into debt because they loose jobs or something significant happens and they are unable to pay - so working something out isn't always an option. Second, they are terrorists, they call you and call you and the amount of harassment and verbal abuse is obscene. . . but whatever makes them feel important, even though they're really just losers sitting in a cubicle and probably have more debt than the person they're calling. I get there are a lot of losers out there who just rack up bills and then never pay or mysteriously disappear, but come on folks it isn't everyone.
"I can't believe those dirty "terrorists" would want their hard earned money that you keep spending and not paying back." -- You do realize that this is one of the dumbest remarks ever, right?
No one spent THEIR money. - Alfalfa replies to dantheinfomanWhat's even shadier are Collector Trolls who come on websites and accuse "us" of spending those POOR terrorists' money....for SHAME!
Gag a maggot....! - Angry DialtoneThey kept calling my number, a wrong number, for a "Jason". Day after day. Wouldn't give up. Robocalls and human calls. I told them they had the wrong number, and they didn't care. I told them that I was on the do-not-call registry and we have no business connections. They claimed they were a "special exception." I have reported them to the FTC.

- NorthStar VPIt is not our intent to harass anyone. If you are receiving calls from this number and wish for the calls to stop please call the number back and ask to speak to a manager. At that time we will do everything in our power to accommodate your request. Please remember our employees are people just like you who are attempting to do a job for our clients. We understand bad things happen to good people and it is our policy to handle every customer with care and understanding. - Fairness replies to dantheinfoman| 1 replyYou've obviously never been rock bottom poor cause some of us don't have mommys to pay for everything till we get out of college. They should pay what they owe but you can't judge someone because they've spent money they don't have.
- clueness replies to FairnessCollectors don't have college degrees ... it's a job for ex-cons.
- ConsumerFDCPA is an Act that regulates collection activity. This Act was created with the purpose of protecting consumer rights during debt collection or related activity. Additionally, the Act outlines specific debt collector Do's and Don'ts. For example, a debt collector may not call a consumer before 8 am and after 9 pm in the consumer's time zone. If you are curious about your rights in a collection scenario, you may want to review this document instead of harassing each other on the internet. It can be found on the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) website or simply by typing in FDCPA into your preferred search engine.
