Why would you call the hospital?  It is incumbent upon them to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it.  Not the other way around.

Now since they talked to you they are now required by law to do this:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

How can they be "spot on" if you don't recall the bill? Sounds to me like they're phishing.

Got a call from IQMS 866-843-6450 Badge # 422. Asked if this was me and gave me my birthday date. Said I had a collections for a hospital Sage West in Wyoming. I have never been near Wyoming but had been to an ER in Pennsylvania. So I did some calling around, spoke with the Sage west hospital supervisor and turns out there is someone by the same name with same birthdate but different social. So question is did IQMS goggle the name and start calling everyone that shows up under that name to find the right person. I had my identity stolen 3 years ago but this person didn't use my social, also apparently per the hospital this person is a frequent flyer to the ER but doesn't pay their bill. I was going to call IQMS back and get them to send me a notice so i can see more but I don't want to give them any more info then they have. My bill in Pennsylvania was paid so i know its not them.

they called once and left a voicemail stating this was IQMS, a debt collection agency,  and I should return the call.  I do have an unpaid medical bill but do not approve of debt collectors calling me.

Got a message on my machine from this number today regarding a Debt collector 866-843-6450. She either said AMR or Y Quantified.. sounds like another scam.  I don't have any debts .

Got a cut-off voice mail from this company with only the phone number.  Looked them up on line and found out it's a debt collector that is likely a scam. I am not delinquent on any payments. I called them back, only to get a voice mail - couldn't speak with a live person. I said on the voice mail that if I get another call like this I will be notifying the FBI.

C.C. Credit Specialist -  did you ever consider that if everyone paid their bills, scum like you wouldn’t have a job either?  Medical bills are the biggest scam on earth.  If you don’t have insurance you are billed 2-3 times the value than the provider charges an insurance company.  Then they collect thousands from insurance companies and want to harass people for the portion not covered.  Trust me, it’s the providers, insurers or collectors that benefit from this scam

They just called me and said their debt collector

I received a call from this number saying that they were debt collector but I looked up the number and I do not see them anywhere can anyone help me?

Rec'd call from a 901 area code and the message was a male recording of a number(866-843-6450). Have no idea who it is, "frankly, I am tired of getting these calls". Time to block.

I've been getting 4-6 calls every week for over 6 months now, not from this number but telling me to CALL this number. I have no outstanding bills, and I blocked the number they've been calling from. BUT? I'm still getting the calls, 4-6 times a week, every week. The funny thing is that no number shows up as PLACING the call to me now, if I don't' hear the phone ring, they just leave a message on my answering service (talking over the answering service announcement) and there is NO RECORD OF AN INCOMING CALL OTHER THAN THE MESSAGE THEY LEFT! And all I can hear of that is a recording of a man telling me to call 866-843-6450. I have NO idea how they can still get this call through to me when I've blocked the number they call me from!

First you should have posted in the thread for the number calling you.  Second, blocking does not prevent them from calling you.  I'm not sure where you got the idea that blocking mess up their calling system.  All blocking does is prevent your phone from ringing which it seems to be doing but then it is going to voicemail because you are not picking up.  For the rest of what you need to know I would suggest that you read the other posts.

If there is a payment arrangement in place.. collection agencies have no right to contact you.

Received a voicemail telling me to call this number. This is not a scammer. They are a real debt collecting agency (IQMS) for medical/hospital bills. I had a bill several months ago I did not pay. I called the hospital and they confirmed they sold it to IQMS. I called IQMS back and they knew all the details surrounding the bill. As per the local phone number who might leave a voicemail telling you to call this number - IQMS use a telecom software that randomly generated phone numbers in your area code. It's a trick to get you to pick up lol. I asked them about this since the caller wasn't the same number in the voicemail.

That would be illegal per Federal collection laws so your statement

The actual name of this criminal enterprise is iQuantified Managment Services, LLC out of Colorado.  More information will be forthcoming.
