Go to www.birmco.com - which is the mortgage brokerage in New Jersey that you'd be calling using that phone number.  The must have spent a ton of $$$ doing the mass mailings that they've recently done to generate large numbers of customers for re-financing.  They're offering low interest rate FHA mortgages.  Whether they're legitimate or not - ???

We received mailings for a loan modification from these people and we decided to check into it. They told us for one months mortgage payment that they would work with our mortgage company . They told us that they would negotiate our interest rate with our mortgage company. We then called our mortgage company who then told us that they do NOT do this , and told us not to give BIRMCO any information because they believe it's a scam.

We received one of the offers in the mail as well and because of the enormous potential for scams, we research phone numbers, addresses and websites for anything and everything before we act now..... glad I saw these posts. If our own mortgage company will not work with us, what makes these companies think they can negotiate the loan?? People are desperate nowadays but we all have to be "smarter than that!"

The State of PA. Banking and Insurance dept. filed a complaint on them June 11 2009 and their BBB rating is now a D-.

Avoid at all costs.   I researched them when I was contacted in May 2009.  At that time I did not find enough negative to doubt there credibility.  In working with them I nearly (or may still) lose my home.  The cost to them plus what it will cost me now to prevent foreclosure on my house is nearly $5000.00 that I do not have unless I can convince them to refund the money's paid to them.

Tell all your friends and neighbors.  Let's put this company out of business for good.  If I do lose my home after all this I for one will filing a lawsuit for the full value of my lost home + suffering.

..maybe you want to do your homework. this company ceased business with loan mods because they were threatened to surrender there mortgage license. there are no laws on the books stating that a third party isn't allowed to loan mods in the state of PA. If you would spend more of your time trying to find a job than prancing around on the internet, maybe you wouldn't be in the position you're in now!!

Matter of time ... hey when the fake mortgage scam goes belly up there's always car warranties, health insurance, fake debt collection, laser printer toner scams, the list is frikkin' endless ...

the funny part about this is...my mortgage advised me to call brimco or birmco what ever it is called..well the president of this co..is michael diplacido jr...i have been in contact ..everday with john halverson.. and of course he tells me it,s working out fine ..i will be able to save my house at a reduced payment..i have 30 printed out reports from him and this co..b.t.w  my mortgage co.is met life..and they refferd me to this co..over 3 months ago ,,because they were overwelmed with to many cases ..they could not fit me in... so i paid i good faith to birco or brimco  1500.00 bucks to help save my house...when i talked to met life two days ago..they told me they have not heard a word from this co..and i got a certifed letter from the the lawyers met life has contained to start fourcloser proceedings..so.......... looks like i will lose my house ..from this co...again i keep getting e-mails from john halverson at birmco or brimco saying things are great..it,s been a long and hard stugle with these folks..i think as you say i have been screwed,,by birmco...i want my money back ..from this rip off .co...i will be in the damn streets in i guess 2 weeks..and homless..well thoust i would respond...thx...frank nichols...

Read what "unknownvoice" says a couple of posts up - just because your mortgage company tells you something doesn't mean it's true.

Pay close attention to government actions!!

They are an F rating with the BBB as of 06/23/2009!! As of July 15, 2009, the attorney general in New Jersey has publicly stated that they do not and have not been licensed in the state. They are banned in PA and are soon to be in Michigan!!

i have a job ...and was told to hang in there   its going on 6 months now...things are still screwed..lost one job got another at lousy pay ,,but i still couls afford this dump ,,if brimco would do what they say and bring the payment down..i dunno  who you are but i am not a loser ..just run into  a bad economioc situation..respond plaese ..thx...

Did anyone stop and consider that it may not be BIRMCO, but the banks that BIRMCO deals with?  Has anyone even looked on-line and noticed that despite Obama's initiative to have the lenders work with the borrowers to modify loans, that some are not doing it, or are slow to respond, or repeatedly lose documents sent to them, which I think is a ploy to buy themselves time, and they do all this, despite financial incentive? People don't go into foreclosure over night, it takes time to fix something like this. Everyone wants it done immediately, and they are oh-so quick to complain because they don't see results right away. So of course these complaints cause the BBB rating to tank.  Some banks are backed up at much as 150 days. But why aren't they receiving the complaints?  If blame was placed properly, your major lenders would be the ones with an F rating with the BBB.

This company is not a scam company, they really do help people, but some people are NEVER satisfied with what they get, or do they understand that this is not a short process, that it can take up to 6 months for it to go through.  Also, not everyone can be helped.  Some people present inaccurate information, and when all the info is verified, and it turns out they don't qualify, who do they blame???

this company ia a scam they also did not pay there Employees oweing some as much as 20,000 and the say they treat employees like family just imsgine going to work with lets say you hae 7,000 in your pipeline and the told that they are no longer in business and now you do not get what is owed to you so now you can not tahe care of your family and you where lieed to and was told that you we be paid the attorny general should also should go after the monies due to there staff yes I am happy to say that
they will get what they deserve
