They are a scam. Called and said my computer was about to run out of time, but if I payed them $200 they could fix this. Also asked for remote access to it.

The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

Got a call from this number from someone with a thick foreign accent. I asked for his name and he said it was Alex Smith Anderson, yeah, right, nice try Punjab. He said he was from Microsoft tech support and wanted me to use hot keys to give him remote access to my computer. MS would not have tried to trick someone into giving them remote access and they sure wouldn't do it for free. Very suspicious. So I said I call back and verify with MS. Click... they hung up. Hmmmm.

Soooo, I called the 1-866-848-7572 number and sure enough someone answered, it was Punjab again. At first he couldn't remember what to say, then he just said tech support, not Microsoft tech support mind you, just tech support. So I asked to talk to Bill Gates. He had no idea who Bill Gates was. He put me on hold for a short time, presumably to check his list of aliases but couldn't find Bill on his list. He told me that Bill was busy on another line. I told him I was really disappointed that I wasn't going to get to talk the owner of Microsoft and hung up. Bummer!

They are doing it here in Spokane Washington. Beware.  They are slick, fast talkers, with fast lines used to intimidate.They have one goal. Hack into your computer and wallet, bank accounts, and anything they can pull. Contact your BBB. Police, and News channels will be given notice! STOP these dirtbags.....1/16\14..

I got the call on my landline 2/7/14. Sounded like he was from Pakistan or somewhere like that. Said he was with Microsoft and my computer was being hacked. I needed to put in the code he gave me so he could prove to me he was legit. When I refused he got irate and said the call was being recorded so if my computer crashed it would be on me. I told him if it did I would go buy another one or use one of the other 4 I already have. I asked for a number so I could call him back to confirm it was legit and he said sure. That is the same number he gave me to call back but, caller ID said unavailable. I called the number back and it never rang. Just silence on the other end.

Just got a call from this number and a person with a thick eastern Indian accent said my computer was "throwing errors" and he was from windows tech support.  I asked for a number to call back and when  I did a different person answered just answering "tech support".  I checked both my desktop and laptop and found no windows errors.  glad I researched the numb er and saw the previous posts.

Told me that my computer is faulty, that this is his work to repair the faults. he told his headoffice is in USA, TEL. No. 866 848 7572

Man with foreign middle eastern accent called my grandfathers house claiming he was from tech support and people were hacking into my computer. I'm glad I picked up the phone and not my grandfather. He was getting frustrated with me and said that he was just "notifying me" and left the number 866-848-7572 called him self "Steve" from data security in Salt Lake City, Utah. Okkk "Steve"!
