    Got two separate letters in the mail on the very same day from an outfit that alludes themselves to be Loan Modification Department
    2400 Country Drive.
    Fremont, CA 94536

    That is the return address on the envelope.

    Each letter gives me a different "account number" and declares that I am "pre-approved" for a home loan modification, in conjuction with the Troubled Asset Relief Program Bailout Fund (T.A.R.P.). It gives 866-852-0336 as a contact number.

    I googled the address and guess what. It does not exist. I googled the company name. Guess what. Does not exist.  

    I dialed the number. Sounded like a seventeen year old male answering the phone. Mumbled "Resinate Modification Company". I explained that Loan Modification Department, and 2400 Country Drive, Fremont does not exist. I asked him not to bother people anymore with bogus letters.
