Got a text message saying they had a verizon software update for me. Called and got a guy who didn't sound like a verizon representative if you know what i mean. Asked for my phone number and i hung up.

I received a text telling me to call this number about a software enhancement as well. have not called. but looked under my settings for a system update, sure enough I had one. I suggest you do the same. I still am not going to call. but maybe its not a hoax after all.

I also got this text message and figured I would call and not give out any personal information if they asked. He just let me know that Verizon ran a report that showed which customers had an app that was stopping their APN (the data connectivity) from working properly. They advised not to have the old EZBattery (I didn't so he wasn't sure why I got the text) but a new updated version is available. He did ask for my phone number, but I told him I didn't feel comfortable giving it out. They also said their is an app that you can install from Motorolla that should fix the APN issue. "Restore inactivity settings"
