Just received the same call from Lori O'Connell. Call didn't show in my recent phone calls but did show up as a voice mail as "Unknown". Same reference number...has to be a scam.

Same as others, same name, same 866# but listed as "private caller", with same ref #.  SCAM.

This was the voicemail- received a call from a Wyoming area code yesterday, and an unknown number today. - “Yes this is Lori O’Connor calling in reference to your federal student loan um I would like to discuss your repayment options with some new changes taking place if um if you could just give me a call back my number is 8668523223 um and I'm going to give your reference number if you would just have the Sandy when you call back that would make things a lot easier your reference number is 220008 thank you…” Funny how we all have the same reference number associated with our loans?

Same experience as the others - Lori O'Connor calling about federal student loan repayment. (I have no student loans.) She also provided the same reference number 220008 and to call back 866-852-3223.  The call came in as Restricted.

Same as above, Laurie O'Connor, reference number 220008.  I did try to call back because I didn't want it to have been a wrong number & someone's credit gets messed up.  Regardless of which option I chose, I got a recorded message stating they will be removing my name from their files & will not be contacting me again.

Same as all the others - called from a 234 number and left a voice mail  Same name, Lori O'Connell, same reference number as well 220008.  Definitely a scam.  If you do have student loans, they aren't going to call you about them, just like the IRS won't call you if they have an issue with you.

Called with same ref # as others & about repayment of student loan! Definitely a SCAM, paid my loans off years ago!
