The phone calls I have had with this company are totally illegal. They are trying to “collect a debt” but make threats like they will sue me if I don’t pay or that I am committing illegal acts by taking out a loan after a bankruptcy. They hired a “locator” to find me and serve me with papers for a lawsuit against me. This guy has called and harassed every person I know yet he has my current number and address. He has yet to show up and give me those papers.

It is all an intimidation tactic. When I asked for them to identify themselves they refused. When I told them that I am represented by an attorney they refused to take his information. It is illegal for them to harass me or my family and I informed them of this and they continued to do so. I asked for their company information like a mailing address or fax number and they refused. I asked for proof of this “debt” and they refused that too. All of this is required under the FTC rules.

IT IS A SCAM TO GET YOU TO GIVE THEM YOUR BANK CARD!!!!! If they were truly a collection agency they would follow the laws and would have valid contact information. Everything they have rattled off about me is all public information that any Tom, Dick or Harry can find on the internet. I know they are scammers because some of the other information they had was wrong and if they were legit they would have the correct information.

You can report them to the FTC and they will be shut down. I reported both the “Nation Wide” company and the “locator” and the harassment has stopped. I also hired an attorney who will sue them for their illegal practices if they start again.

Don’t let them pull this crap with you because you do have rights and chances are they are not really collecting a valid debt.
