I am a machine. I take your credit card and debit card information so I can buy stuff for my girl friend my wife does not know about. I also buy things I want but don't earn the money to buy.

I do think I work hard by trying to hack in to your accounts and take anything I can get. It takes me minutes to do this and I think I deserve what ever I can get.

I grew up in the generation of 'everyone gets a trophy' and I know my Mommy and Daddy would be proud of me now for taking what does not belong to me.

Today I decided to target mostly Sprint users in Wilmington NC. I have no problem ignoring the fact that people are in economic hell or that the unemployment rat is high and they need every dime they have. Because as far as I am concerned it should be mine.

Just signed "customers@visa-card.com" for some nice beastiality newsgroups and other fun illegal porn.

I also entered the address into some known spam lists.

the same scam is coming over us cellular customers in wilmingotn, nc too.  googled the number after playing the 666666 then 9999 for pin.

I received two of these today.  I'm also in Wilmington, NC, but my carrier is U.S. Cellular.

My first clue that it was a scam was the fact that my cc companies do not have my cell number.  I googled the number (same on both of the text msgs though they each had a different url contact addy), and here I am.  Mad.

I got two of these texts today too.  I think I am going to call the police, and start there.  I am a US cellular subscriber and also live in Wilmington, NC.  Seems funny that the target area seems so specific.

I have a Wilmington Sprint and received the text too!  There is definitels something in common.  Are the selling are numbers?  What is the chance that this would happen to Sprint users who live in Wilmington.  Maybe it is an inside job, will definitely go by the Sprint store today!

Probably not who is doing this but I don't care.  He owns the domain and a bit of research points to NetSpots as being an ad hit harvester so spam the [***] out of him.

I do not have a Wilmington Sprint, however I have a virgin mobile phone and receive this crap 5 times a day, same message.

I signed the guy's e-mail for every news letter I can find. No matter the kind.

i received the same message today twice. does anyone know exactly what numbers they are trying to get for your bank account info?

It doesn't matter how much spam you sign them up for, they don't care, they won't even see it, it's not an email address used for anything. All they want are the cc #s and pins that morons will inevitably punch in on their phones.

They want the last six of your credit card number plus the PIN.  I called the Wilmington police dept and the dispatcher said the idiots have sent these texts to several police officers as well as dispatchers!

Has anyone else here recently shopped for a new cell phone provider from wirefly, by any chance?

I gave the original six digits on my credit card but a bogus pin number. Will they be able to hack my account with that information?

Same story as above.  Both my wife and I received same message.  E-mail said it came from 2 different web sites- jennifer@sjefoundation.org and JThomas@sgumcny.org (a methodist church site).

Ditto the Sprint with a Wilmington number.  Called Sprint...they were unhelpful.  Offered to put my number on the do not call registry, but that doesn't stop me from getting charged for spam text messages.  Bah.

It's the WPD!  They didn't say they were going to do anything, just that they were aware of it.

I just got a text at 12:49 from them too.  It was from John@paradiseconstruction but the subject was the same.  I have US Cellular and am also in the Wilmington area.
