- Fight-Back| 5 repliesHow to fight back. I do not answer my phone when a toll free number calls me or when a number I do not know calls me. I type the number into google and I find out who owns it. Almost all of the time a toll free number or a number I do not know calls me it is TransWorld. The key is to not give them any information. Remove your name from your VM message and if you do answer the phone and they ask for you by name hang up without saying a word. look up the number in google and if its not Trans World call them back. If it is someone you need to talk to just tell them the call dropped. I have recieved calls from 12 different numbers for TransWorld here they are so can block them like I have.

- john smith replies to Fight-Back| 3 repliesIn addition you can also use a very handy application for the iphone users. It is called iblacklist. The only drawback is you have to jailbrake your device first. However once you do that, you simply install it and put all the Transworld numbers in it....;)Problem solved!!!!
- Kat replies to john smith| 2 repliesIn the App Store, there is an app called "Blacklist." Here's the description:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blacklist creates a contact named "Blacklisted Number" full of thousands of numbers (over 30,000 and growing) belonging to US telemarketers, scammers, and prank callers on your iPhone so that when one of these numbers calls, you know not to answer. With the minutes it saves you, Blacklist should pay for itself.
To download a silent ringtone for use with Blacklist either go to the support page or copy/paste this URL: http://www.callerdb.com/SilentRingtone.m4r
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
According to the updates section, it will store any numbers you add even if not on the community blacklist. There is a disclaimer that it has nothing to do with iBlacklist and that there is no way to block calls legitimately thru any apps in the App Store. I'm not sure I want to jailbreak my iPhone - I've heard nothing but bad things about doing so, and every person I know who has jailbroken their iPhone has had major issues afterward. - john smith replies to KatI have my iphone 4 jailbroken, before that my 3gs and 3g...and i `ve been using them for 3 years with no problems whatsoever;)I`ve done that on a lot of iphones and there is not a single negative feedback so far...so dont be afraid;)besides iblacklist really bocks the calls, it doesnt use silent ringtones or any other useless tricks. If they decide to use other numbers , u simply let them use it once and blacklist it right after they call.I`m really curious how many numbers they r gonna use before giving it up;) I know they will hate me after they read that but its ok, i hate them too;)I`ve blacklisted 15 numbers so far and the list is growing thanks to sites like this one!
Good luck!!! - Terri replies to Fight-Back3 more numbers to go with your list

I had heard there were over 30 numbers. I can only block 12. The calls come in on my home number not cell number so I cannot use the applications everyone is talking about - Alan replies to KatA similar app is available for BlackBerry users (Call Control Blacklist) and it's both effective and free!
