These people keep calling me at odd times.  I haven't answered my phone because I only answer it if I recognize the number.  But, they are calling me more often.  Today they tried calling my cell 3 times.

Got a call from this number once, googled out of curiosity and ended up in this site. Interesting how many people are receiving these calls. Sprint should do something about it.

I first tried adding my number to that do not call list.  No help.  I called Sprint 3 times one week, after each time they called me and they assured me I was off the list.  For the past week, I've been talking to the Sprint Retentions department.

I am about 1 week away from completely cancelling my account with Sprint.  I will not send them another dime if I do cancel, whether they charge me a cancellation fee or not.

It is easy for a scammer to spoof the caller ID to make it appear that the call originated from Sprint.  Do a google search on "caller id spoofing" and you will see what I mean.  The people making these calls are trying to get your personal information by pretending to be Sprint.  I had to cancel my Sprint service to make this stop.

Today being 05/14/2007 my mom called me freaking out that she just won a cell phone but that she knew right away that no things are 'free'. She was freaking out because my mom and myself have the same name and they knew a lot about her. I then Checked the internet with the number she says was on the caller ID and here I find exactly what I needed. My mom has Sprint as well because of me and when she kept telling the agent that she needed to call her daughter (me) to verify that it was ok to get another phone, the customer service rep said, "why do you need to call your daughter, you can make your own decisions can't you?" it was as if though my mom was being harrased. I hate all telemarketers as well. I have a contract with T-Mobile, another company that won't put a stop to another annoying telemarketer with phone number 209-398-8989, another spanish speaking scam, "YOU JUST WON". Yeah right, I just lost my airtime. Now I know that Sprint does not care about it's customers if they provide personal information to third party companies. I hope you all can find solutions to this problem and maybe can share what you know.  Thanks!

***PS.. I actually called Sprint back to verify if any changes have been made to my account and they say that I just have a new phone order. That I have a re-newed contract and that my phone order is on it's way. Requested to know what city the representative was at, and she verified that she was in Monterrey Mexico. It is so infuriating that these type of scams are happening, even from a company that I thought very highly of. I am still on the line, trying to cancel the order. I hope that I am able to fight the system.

Whoever called had a very heavy accent and it seemed to be crowded because very hard to understand with all the people in the backround.  We finally hung up because we could not understand a thing the person was saying.

its not SPRINT, comes from mexico outside jurisdiction of US comm laws, its a mining. a trunkated call, they have highjacked a legit sprint # to use for caller id only, looking for spanish speaking sprint customers to scam (mine) out of thier personal info.  info that you should never give out to ANYBODY that calls you, (and be careful what info you give and who you are giving it to when youve call them) ITS A BIG SCAM AND ITS NOT SPRINT

I keep receiving calls from this number asking me to switch to Sprint. After the 3rd call in 3 days I told them I was going to file a complaint. I had asked to be removed from their calling list on the first call.
