Got a voicemail from some lady saying she was a police detective who said she worked for the General Investigations Unit and I was a victim of Identity theft.  
She told me whoever had my information has my address, name, and social security number.  She gave me a number with an extention to call her back at.  I tried calling back after talking to her the first time and it said the number was no longer in service.

Got a call from this number and this lady helped me out with fraud.

The lady was fraud.  I hope you didnt give her any of your personal information.  
Did she tell you she was a police officer?  I tried calling her number back and she disconnected it.  I called the local police department and reported it.  For safe measures I called all three credit bureaus and put a 90 day fraud alert on everything.

I got the call too. She is definitely a fraud.

I got the same call too, she told me to contact the FTC to clean up my credit.  She really helped me out.

This lady is definetly a scam, she said her name was Det Laurel, and she was trying to get my information, I felt like this may be a scam so I didn't tell her anything. In the middle of the conversation the phone gets disconnected and when you call back it says the number you are calling from is invalid. I called the FTC to report them and they said they have had numerous complaints about it and that they are currently investigating the situation, they advised to put a fraud alert on your credit reports.

I looked up these complaints, and considering she TOLD ME to go to the FTC, I don't know what all of you people are whining about.  I thought she was a SCAM, but she really was on the up and up.  She didn't ask me for a thing, she already had alla my info...
