Automated call; left message to call Robins Federal Credit Union Visa fraud department. I called, and was asked several personal questions which I refused to answer and was in the end told that they never called me. PS: my card is not a visa card.

Go to the bank's home page.  Call their 800 number.  Ask for fraud prevention.  You'll get transfered to an automated system which will walk you through the options to verify recent purchases.

That way, you know you have the correct business and department and it will be okay to give them the info.

BTW, never give out the security code (found on the back of the card) when verifying your cc info.

This is a valid number for Robins Federal Credit Union.  RFCU issues Visa Debit/Check cards and has a history of being rather anti-internet friendly when you order something online using your Visa Debit/Check card.

It sounds like arjay was the victim of an erroneous phone number on someone's account.

This is a valid number for Robins Federal Visa Fraud Prevention.  I called Robins and was told that it was in fact a valid call and that I should call.  I called and spoke to a real person at the number they left me.   I found out they are trying to verify that several online transactions being made by my son's card are actually being made by him.  I explained to her that I had my doubts about the validity of the call since it came up on my phone as 800 service?
I appreciated that they were trying to protect me and my account.

This is definitely Robins Federal Visa Fraud Prevention.  I called my local RFCU and was told that it was their fraud division's phone number. My account rep transferred me to the fraud division. I verified several aspects of my account. Verified, did not give out any of my info.
I also appreciated that they were trying to protect me and my account, as I have had a fraud issue in the past.

Yes. Definitely RFCU. I subscribed to a streaming media service for Hallmark movies, and the department called to make sure that it was a valid charge.

I was left a message by this number.  I returned the call.  They claimed they were Robins FCU, but asked for my address, date of birth, and social security number.  I didn't give them the information.  I asked about fraudulent use of my card, but wouldn't give that information without my social security number.  If this is Robins, which I doubt, they need to stop asking for so much personal info.

It is a valid number for Robins fraud detection.
I called Robins, I was told that the number is on the back of the card, and not to talk to anyone calling from any other number.
Someone tried using my card in Madrid.

I have never heard of and I do not have anything to do with this CU.  This number isn’t on their web site!  I think these comments here saying it’s a valid number make me think otherwise!  They never should have called me!!!
