This story is so much like the call I received today.  I received a call from a Process Server from the Collin Co. sheriffs office he stated do you live at ...are you still living there at......I did not know what to state.  He said that he was on his way to serve me legal papers to arrest me for not showing up in court today and gave me #866 - 872-6116 and state that it was to contact the DA's office.  I at the minute knew that he was not from the DA's office.  I called the number gave them my so called Cause No. ...and was transferred to a Mr. Fisher, who then stated the same thing that he was serving papers to me that the call was to get the process server to come out and file charges on me for $6,214.24 and I said for what he said for a past due Credit Card balance with Capital One Bank.  I was stunned the amount was entirely out of this world and was not even one in which I had charged. He stated that are back fees, court and attorney fees, warrant fees, I was stunned.  After about 15 minutes of hearing all I could take I ask ok what is your bottom line Sir?  He stated, "if you pay $1,951.00 in full today on a credit card, or cash or bank draft we can stop the legal actions and call the DA's office today and stop this, but you have to call me back by end of business today". I stated, I am recently employed can't do that, just can not, he stated again, you need to take care of this today.  After, a cup of coffee I realized that he was Harassing me ...scarring me threaten me.  This is bad business and collection actions to threaten to take me to jail over a credit card debt less then $500 balance, I want to do something about this I am making any/all complaints on them through whatever agency's I can today and I am making this my mission.  No one should be treated this way, had they done the right thing and called to make proper arrangements with me, I am sure I could have worked out something.  This is so wrong. The company that called me today is PMG ....after call my local DA's office, Sheriff Dept., etc. they directed to Our Attorney General's office, they are taken the complaint and I am also making it with the Federal Gov for Fair Collections etc.   This has to stop.

OMG the same thing happened.  Mr. Roy Fischer is the same person who pulled this on me ....may I use you as a witness also .....I don't need your name but I am going to direct the Attorney General's office directly to this site to investigate this as well.  They told me they had a warrant for me because I did not show up for a court date for and that a process server was some to my home today.  Then said that if I could pay $1951 by end of business they would lift the warrant.

They did the same thing to me like they did to Debbie.  A man called saying that he needed to serve some papers regarding a case, which he knew nothing about.  All he said was to call 866-872-6116 and gave me a case number.  When I called the number, they didn't announce their company name, which I found odd.  The man asked for my case number and transferred me to Ray Fisher.  Fisher advised me that I am being sued for $3,000 for not paying a credit card account and when I told him I've never heard of the credit company he mentioned, he changed his story and said that I owed over $4,000 to capital one.  I never had a credit card but he insisted that I did, and that they have taken legal actions and that I can be arrested.  I was harassed by both him and their so-called receptionist.  When I called back to ask for their address, so I can file a complaint, they refused and said that I was harassing them.  After reading all these posts, I realized that they are just trying to get money out of anyone that would be scared enough to pay even if it's not their own debt!

Well this Roy Fisher had my parents scared to death. I called him back and listened to him ramble on about how there is a lawsuit filed against me and for $3500 dollars but I could clear it up today for $1700. According to him they had already been out to my job to serve me. He wanted me to confirm the address but of course I did not. The card had a limit of $300 and it was in 03' so he really could not be serious. I told him to send me the settlement which he did and I took straight to a lawyer along with the convo that I taped. He was threatening to take my car that I no longer had and the credit card company is only suing me b/c apparently they felt like I had it in assessts or they could garnish my wages. HSBC Bank should be ashame that they have people like this collecting for them. They are truly a disgrace and would be better off trying to collect the monies themselves.

WoW!!!  this is amazing that this company can do this to people.  I admit I owed a credit card I think it is premier bank, and it has been over 5 years ago, I actually did forget about it, and want to clear it up.  THe guy called my inlaws they gave me the info i called him back, and I was pleasant never raised my voice, he yelled at me called me a loser said my husband should divorce me that I am a low life, he is trying to charge me 4,000 dollars on a credit card that had a 300 limit.  this is ridiculous he swore at me when i told him i am recording the convo he stated he will sue me for more money cuz that is illegal.  THe guy told me i am a waste of life! I don't know how these people sleep at night.

And he might not even own or have any right to collect on the "debt", either.

Have you received any letters from them?
Any proof you even owe this "debt", or owe it to them?

The New Zealand company is probably unrelated to any of the Corona scam debt collectors.

You can trace the Corona scammers through their city of Corona business licenses, and their California Secretary of State LLC registrations.

The "process server" call was more likely just one of the scammers, pretending to be trying to "serve" you, just as they pretent they are "suing" you.
