- KarenJust got this call, once again. Told them I didn't have a computer and they hung up really quick. Last time they called my husband told them I worked for the government and everything, kept them on for almost an hour. We need to educate our family and friends to tell them never let any take control of their computers.
- MikeMy IP address was compromised apparently. I let the guy walk me through the steps to the point where he wanted me to hit enter so their servers would have access. I then began my tirade upon him...every swear word in the book wouldn't let him get a word in edge wise...to his credit, he stayed on the line until I hung up...[***]

- Georgeget a whistle like fox 40, speak very quietly until they turn up the volume in their head sets and then blast away. Perhaps it will discourage identity thieving people.
- HelenaGot same call from lady with indian accent. I acted like i was shocked that my computer was compromised. I told her to hold on so that i can get to my computer... then went downstairs to watch tv. After i was satisfied i wasted her time like she wasted mine i hung up the phone. She called me back 3 times lol... i did pick up aand explained to her that according to google search their number is flagged as spam. I said i will have to discuss with my husband what to do so i cannot talk to her any further. She said its my choice and hung up nicely. At this point in time i could have played her longer but started to worry that she might call me in the middle of the night put of spite.

- Sterling AGot the call as if it is a legitimate phone call from Microsoft to address operating system problems. It's a scam. They just want to get into your computer to get personal information of any sort for some type of crime or profit. Just hang up.
- Caller: Telemarketer tech support
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- KimSaid they are from Windows and concerned that people from Turkey and Iran are attempting to use my IP address. Of course I didn't I believe this gentleman from India. So I just played along for a few minutes with my concerns and told them thank you for notifying me and I will have my HP support group look in to it, after I asked for the call back number because it came up as private.

- GeorgeA "Microsoft Certified technician" with strong Indian accent called to notify me that my IP address was compromised from Turkey 23 times (did I read the same number in earlier posts?) blah blah... he asked me to hand control of my computer to him so that he can "fix the problem". He also "advised" me not to do online financial transactions until the problem was fixed.
I asked him a few times who he worked for but he only repeated "Microsoft certified technician". - AshleyCalled twice- didn't speak
