Someone called me from 832-532-3732 looking for someone else and and stated that I needed to contact the person that they were looking for.  In turn, she stated that the person should make contact at 1 866-873-9774 and that the person had been officially notified through my phone.  I was shocked with this abrupt message.

I received a call from from 866-873-9774, 9 times within the last 3 weeks. So far it has been 3 people, two women and one man that have called me. They have called my cell phone and my place of work. When they called my place of work they were unprofessional and rude to the Human Resources Department. Then they called me, but couldn't verify they called me, then they said urgent matter, but would not provide any details and only wanted my address. I am not giving a telemarketer, terroist, or whomever they may be any personal information. It's enough they have my telephone number and place of business.

This company has called my family members thirty times collectively stating they needed to get a hold of me.They were very rude and abrasive, they also threatened me with prosecution for fraud.  I hired a lawyer, they cannot do this to anyone.

I got a call today from a lady who said her name was Kathy Walsh and she was looking for my brother.  She said she needed to contact him right away on the claim/charges against him.  She said she had and order to appear notice for him.  When I asked what it was in regards to she said she couldn't tell me becasue it was sealed.  She said to to have him call 866-873-9774 to tal to the law firm and gave me a claim number to give him.  However after googling the number I think it is some sort of scam.

It is a scam.  No one gets a heads up they'll be arrested.  Or that they'll be sued.  The caller also gave you information contrary to the FDCPA - telling you that your brother has "charges" against him.  Debt is civil, not criminal, so no one is going to be charged.  This is the standard schtick of scammers - threaten people with arrest or a lawsuit to scare them into paying bogus debts.

Report the call to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  If the scammer calls back, tell her you're recording all calls she makes to you to give to your attorney (even if  you don't have one) for multiple violations of the FDCPA, and also, in your case - as you're not the person she's looking for - violations of the TCPA.

I just got a phone call from here asking for my sister very rude lady she is my sister had 3 courts orders, I asked for her name and just hung up.

I recieved a call from laredo 284-0331left me a message that I had charges/claim against me and they got my address to call the 866-873-9774 to talk to the firm/ wht is this about payday loans? If you don't pay them?
