- Nuc replies to DoubtfulThe connection seems to be propay, as there are people who were scammed that did not sell mary kay, but did sell Creative Memories, etc., and used propay. If it's only mary kay that had their data compromised, how did the creative memories people get hacked? Is there a connection? I think it's propay.
- ProPay Official Press Releasehttps://epay.propay.com/tutorial/fraud_alert_ACH.aspx
Please post here if this fraud affected you and you never had a ProPay account. If you think you don't have a ProPay account and this affected you, please call ProPay first and make sure you don't have an account with ProPay that uses your bank account which was fradulently debited. - Totally peeved| 1 replyI agree, the common link sounds like Propay. I had Propay and sold Mary Kay, my name and the address I lived at the time I sold Mary Kay is on the electronic check. A check cleared my bank (National City) for an adult website, and had the 800 number plus a reference number. I called the number (as my bank is closed at this hour) to see what the charge was, and gave the reference number. I could not get a name from the man I spoke with and am concerned this is a phishing attempt as well and am thinking I made the wrong choice to call the company and doubt I will get a refund in 7-10 days. I was told this was a third party billing company called "Map Services" but he could have said "Matt" it was hard to hear him.
I will be going to the bank to fill out the form and close the account tomorrow and will take copies of these postings. I will also file a police report. This really peeves me as this was my main account, and not only do I have to deal with automatic payments and deposits, but what about the purchases I made recently that have not cleared yet? Oh, and I am also a recently divorced single mom to boot. Money is tight enough as it is without being robbed.- Caller: MS Subscriptions
- Doinked in ohio yet again replies to Another oneI've never sold Mary Kay or anything else. I think I may have signed up for Propay way back before Paypal was popular. They also used my maiden name on the bank draft. And yes, I am female too. Everyone from Ohio that's been scammed with this needs to call or email your local FBI office. They brushed me off because I was but one person. But if we all "gang" up on them, they might take notice and investigate. Here is NE Ohio information:

I've already sent my email. - closed my account! replies to Totally peevedWell I closed my account w/in 2 days of noticing this charge. I had since contacted my Mary Kay Director and the very next day Mary Kay's website for consultants had something typed up to us regarding this very situation. Mary Kay also encouraged us to filing a report of this activity with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at www.IC3.gov which several of you have already stated.
