- Justin| 1 replyIt doesn't get any more lame than getting a call (recording) about cancelling a charge for some bogus purchase I didn't make and then another recording replies that my response has been recorded - without any interaction on my part! Hey, you goofy Hindies get a job already!

- LindaI have received two of these calls. I have no ideal what they are talking about. Said I would be billed $299 on my account unless I called and cancelled. Bunch of scammers. On caller ID it comes up as toll free number.
- Katie| 2 repliesSame, just now. Very loudly we told the man that if he took any money out of the account the police would be called. $299 bill for a computer program. He would not stop arguing, so we hung up.

- BigA replies to KatieWell, you called them back? OK, now they have your phone number and name from the caller ID that all toll free numbers get. Expect lots more calls and texts now. There was never any intention of billing you for anything. They simply wanted you to call them back and end up giving them your CC# so that they could "stop" the transaction.
- NancyI knew it would be a scam call, but picked up and listened. Theyusually wait and call after 9:00 a.m., but they don't even have a program that starts their recording at the beginning. What I heard when I picked up and listened was "customer, your computer..." and I hung up. I can see here, from what the rest of you are saying, that it's the ole' "computer refund" scam. Man, these guys are lazy: they don't even start their robocall at the beginning! Thanks, everyone!
- Caller: Computer protection refund scam robocall

- Nancy replies to Katie... you argued with them??? And threatened them with an impotent, hollow threat? Local police don't get involved in these crimes, Katie... it's not their purview, and these scammers know it. And unless you gave them any personal information, including your bank and credit card information, they can't harm you. They were fishing for that stuff, and you engaged them! You shouldn't engage the Mumbai Mafia at all, but if you do inadvertently answer, don't make useless threats: they laughed at you. They're predators, don't posture. You dealt with them as if they care and can be intimidated. They don't, and can't. Start using your CID and don't answer such unfamiliar, suspicious calls. And if you answer, stop your ill-informed, empty threats. They'll be calling again. Hang up!
