I got a call from this number. It  was a  recording  saying  
That me or my lawyer call a number  which  they  said  too  
Fast for me to write down. If anyone  has  gotten  a  call  like  
please give  me  the  number  to  call.

Just a word of advice, putting your email on a public site is likely to get you a LOT of spam.
Having said that, I wouldn't worry about this call much.  I'm sure you also did a search, but I don't see ANY indication of any ownership of the number.

Instead, I found posts on another site that indicates it's probably a scammer pretending to be a collection agency.
In fact, this recording of "...me or my lawyer call a number..." is one some scammers ARE using now, hoping you'll pay money just because they say you owe it, refusing to identify their company name or location, refusing to sent a Debt Validation Letter, etc.  -- classic signs of a scammer.  In fact, they should have identified the company name in the recording, and apparently failed to do that.

I'm also guessing they didn't even mention the name of the person they were allegedly trying to contact. -- Legitimate collection agencies do not operate in that manner.

This is a scam. The same thing happened to me today 9/18/2013. I found a missed call from 1-866-887-8211.  The caller left a very rude mumbled voice message. He threatened to take action against me in his voicemail if I don't call him back at a phone number that was very unclear in his voicemail. The only part of his phone number that he left in the voicemail was 9211 without saying what the first digits are of his call back number. Because he left an incomplete callback number, I used another phone to callI the number that showed up on caller ID 866-887-8211 and that number was a non working number.

This is a scam.

This is a racketeering scam. Like the mob, they expect you to pay them to go away. These people are the lowest of the low. Bottom feeders. No morality or ethics. How they pick targets is unknown but they call me all the time but there is no legal action, nor is there cause for any legal action. Eventually, there will be a class action law suit to stop them. That is when they move to a different city and start up again. Or return to Nigeria or Russia when a warrant is issued. Why be productive when you can steal is there M.O.

This happened to my daughter in law about a year ago.  If you trace the number in reverse lookup and the number was not found.   Just ignore it and it will eventually stop.  It is the most annoying problem with cell phones.

I have received a message twice today saying to call 866-887-8211 immediately or further action will be taken. Very rude and also doesn't say who they are.

Got two calls today from this number, one just now, described the same as others. I ignored them both and deleted the vm they left. As others said, very rude and annoying.

They didn't even ask for my full name, they used my first and middle name..so I knew it wasn't legit.

I got similar message as others threatening legal action.  I called back at midnight and left message saying I was contacting States Attorney's Office in the morning.  I was able to get some information in a reverse search. It was listed as a telemarketing number, but also said it was a debt collector.

Don't worry this is a total scam, they do not have anything to file against you, they will not show up at your work.  It's totally annoying but just ignore and delete.  They will stop eventually and start back up with a different phone number.  Not sure how to stop them, but the best advice is to never answer or talk to them, they'll give up after while.

I am also receiving multiple calls a day they new my name and the name of a bank i use to be with saying i owe them money they say they are from a company called legal counsel. I know i don't owe  any money but the calls are harrassing and threatening. Is their someone i can report them too?

Got a call and msg from this number. Same quickly mumbled msg only requesting that I or my representative call them back or it will lead to further action. Pfft. Sorry Bro - I wont fall for your scam - Youve been added to my caller reject list. Thank you for that option on my S4 Samsung!

Yeah, the message actually scared me and I am a pretty smart person.  It was loud, rude and lacked any kind of pertinent information.  Agreed it is a scam.

I got  a message that if I ignore this , they will take legal action.
The number did not work to call back.  It is threatening.

Like everyone else I had this call dial through.  The voicemail was mostly cut off, but it threatened legal action.  I blocked them.  I don't have time for rude, aggressive scammers.

This is a scam company calling themselves North Capital recovery here is their website contact info Telephone: 1-866-715-4667 Fax: 716-748-6017 247 Cayuga STE 5E Cheektowaga NY 14025 on google maps it clearly shows this is a privte home I have been repeatedly calling and harrassing THEM and I gotta say it is FUN!!!! they can be reached at 866 887 9211 this is a working number and they get mad when you harrass them back. lets bother them so that they have a crappy day like they do to us.
