Called 3 times in 3-minutes at 3am. No message.

Was supposed to be # to decline a PayPal credit card. Was actually somebody selling medical stuff of some kind.

This number IS PayPal's number, but this number was spoofed and they called me this morning trying to warn me about a fraudulent charge, and I went along with it until they asked me for the auth code that was just texted to me that explicitly states that PayPal will NEVER ask you for it, but they were.  Then they got mad at me when I told them I didn't believe them, and even threatened to close my account, so that sealed the deal that this was not legitimately PayPal.  If you receive this type of call, HANG UP and then call PayPal yourself so that you KNOW you're talking to someone legitimate.

I get an email after every purchase with my PayPal Mastercard.   I know it's not PayPal because all correspondence from the real PayPal addresses you by name at the beginning of the email.  I'm tired of these emails but PayPal keeps hanging up on me when I call.
Don't call the number in the email & whatever you do never follow a link inside a spoof email.  Always go to the real PayPal site in your browser & check your account from there.

I got a call from this number they claimed that there were three different charges to that were on Amazon and one on Walmart in the excess of $300 all the way up to $1100.   I get these phone calls every once in a while, I guess long enough time passes by, that I get sucked back into the whole scam.   Fortunately, I’ve realized when they start asking a lot of questions, specially ones that they shouldn’t be asking, I really stop with being cooperative.   Then when I do call a number that PayPal has on their website, and it wasn’t easy for me to find a number either.   Thing is, PayPal has been in business a hell of a long time, they should have this figured out how to stop all this crap that I get every 3-4 months.

Fraud caller; got info from me! I finally asked his name! I gave up and hung up on him. Then I called Paypal; my card was compromised by a Michael Thomas. He said that was his name.
