atempt to collect a dept

The message they left said they're from NCO Financial.

I picked up and it was a machine telling me it was debt collector.  I just happed to have my credit checked very recently and know for a fact I owe nothing to anyone.  DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.

WHO can we call to have them stopped??? I am getting calls as well and owe NOTHING to  anyone!!!!

NCO is the caller. They say they are collecting a debt..probably a medical debt. They are headquartered in Horse$hit, I mean Horsham,Pennsylvania, but proudly state they are the #1 outsourced agency.They are proud of their new outsorce center in Guatamala. #1, I don't think I owe them anything. Plus, they should be keeping jobs in the US and not anywhere else. I am not going to pay any medical bills  until the President and the US congress gets off their fat azzes and provide the medical coverage without raising the taxes.

this wanted us to enter a SS# which is fraud with out knowing who is calling and what it is about.

Gave them some information, feel foolish

This chick called me and stated immediately after asking for me that she needed to "verify my information".  She asked for my DOB.  I asked, "Who are you?" and she said "Claudia" or something like that.  I asked who are you with?  She then got serious attitude and said, "I SAID MY NAME IS CLAUDIA and I need to verify your account information, what is your date of birth?"  I said I'm not giving you that information, I don't know you".  I asked again, "Who are you with?" and she stated in a huff, "I'll just send you something in writing!"  Then she hung up on me.  If you're not going to send me something in writing with a letterhead and information so I know what the heck you're talking about, ya might need a better telephone approach.  Sorry, I didn't have my psychic hat on that day lady.
If that is actually a scam and people give out their info, it makes me wonder how many times it works.  NEVER EVER EVER give anyone your info over the phone.

Annie, call your three credit bureaus and put a credit block and watch on your files.  It's a little bit of a hassle, but if you gave a swindler your info, the alternative will be much worse.  Just some info if you didn't know, not trying to be a know it all.

said  they were throwin me a surprise birthday party so i said whew -thought you were one of them  companies using a predictive dialer for illegal immoral reasons- so i gave them all my private info i could think of then blew them up- i think its on youtube
