Left message saying imperative that I call back Mark before 11pm tonight.  No company name left on message.  They call for Cablevision for a balance that has been taken care of already at Cablevision.

Continuously received an "unknown" call and I answered to absolutely no one saying anything. This happened 3 times in a row. Finally called again and left a message asking for a person by the name of "unique barrow" (not me or the company at all) also left their name which was so garbled as if they had marbles in their mouth that I couldn't understand it. Left a number 1-866-896-0259 ext 2167, and advised that it was important that I (or Unique Barrow) return the call by 11pm. I ignored the first couple and then finally out of frustration returned the call blocking the number. I tried to get the company name out of them but again the marble mouth individual on the other end was unclear and rather than continue to feel as if it was me I informed them that they were not reaching the individual that they were trying to. To that they asked what number were we calling. (NICE TRY!) I said the message that I received was that you were trying to reach a Unique Barrow and this is a company telephone number and there is noone by that name here please stop calling the number that you have on record for this individual as it in not valid. We'll see if that actually stops it.

Got a call that my call blocking blocked. However, they left a message. Said his name was Adam and that he was looking for someone with a name that sounded like "Francine Argon" or something (it was really unintelligible and no one by that name lives here). Said that this person needed to call back by 11 pm today. Left number 866-896-0259 x2155.

Got the call from the same outfit that has been described by the other commenters on this site, asking for me by name ("Nick Richards" was the name given as the person calling). No answer when I returned the call. Glad I found this site as I will not be wasting any more time with this silliness!

Left a message on my answering machine saying please return my call @ ext 2164. They will be there till 11pm. When i called back blocking my number they said there are different companies and they can't give me the info. So when i asked for the ext they gave me she said there was no one there and asked for my phone number to find out who I am. No way I'm a telemarketer my self for a fundraising company. And no way in hell am i giving them my number. If it was that important they would call back and say where their calling from. I have to much to do then rather waste my time on this friggin phone call.

This is cablevision.

It's not Cablevision or a telemarketer calling you.... this is a collections agency (Sunrise Credit Services) calling you because you are past due on your cablevision account.

Ignoring the calls doesn't help. The only way to stop the calls is to pay your delinquent account. If it's a wrong number they're calling, tell them your number or at least the name of the person they called looking for and they'll take your number out of their system

Best way to get rid of them? PAY YOUR CABLE BILL!!! If you've already paid it, give them the info they need so they can confirm it with Cablevision!

They're not going to stop calling until YOU take care of YOUR business... another FYI -- they CAN and DO report to all 3 credit bureaus.

My room mate has been receiving calls from the following name and number:

1-866-896-0259   Name: Donnell

All he told her was that it was very important and I was to call him back, however, I'm back home visiting for a while in England and I cannot do anything about it, I don't know who would contact my room mate in New York besides one company who has MY name but HER number on the account, which is Cablevision.

So far that I've read on this site it's either that, cablevision
or some company, which I've emailed already, Sunrise Credit Services

Can someone please just give me some more info as to what it could be about, as my room mate and I have no idea...
If it's cablevision then I know that it's just because we need to pay the bill... which is being dealt with.

They hounded me for months regarding a Cable Vision bill.  I paid it.  Now Cable Vision says they have NO RECORD of the payment!  They can both kiss my butt!

I was told this was settled and then they say the lady made a mistake cause she is new lol, how do I know she is new?

OK this was for T mobile, I told them I would settle the account for 200.00 the lady said ok, I paid 204.99, I said is this settled now, she told me yes. And then keep harrassing me that she is new didnt know what she was doing. How am I supposed to know this, where do I go now> as far as I am concerned its settled, they agreed on a settlement.
