This number has called me three times in one day and didn't leave anything on my voice mail.

Picked up a call with an automated message claiming to be from UPS but providing no details other than to call 866-896-1573 which I could not identify as a published UPS number.  I called UPS on their published number and they could find no notifications pertaining to shipments or invoices under my company name.

I received three phone calls now, three days in a row at around the same time  (noon).  I have not answered yet.  I am aware that many automated dialers will log which time you answer your phone and then actual people will attempt to contact you at the time they think you are available based on that information.  However the most recent call did leave a voicemail message.  He said "uh thank you" and hung up.  Guess he is new and didn't know better than to hang up before the beep and blurted out the only words he could think of.

This number calls me atleast 3 times a week and its just a UPS machine. I've never ordered anything from UPS so now i just let it ring but its annoying as hell

Recieved call from this number for about a week straight at different times through the day.  It was a recorded message saying it was UPS and to please hold for first available attendant, that it was important that they speak to us.  As we have a UPS account I waited for a few seconds until someone picked up.   The woman asked to speak to accounts payable.  I said they were not in so she gave me a ref# and said to call back at this same number.
When we called back and gave the ref# they said we had an outstanding invoice and gave us the invoice #.  We asked her to fax the invoice to us and she said it would be faster for someone else to do this and gave us the number to the actual UPS.  When we called the actual UPS they said this invoice does not exist and our account is up to date.

I'm not really sure what the caller is trying to get out of making these calls

Got a fraudulent call from this number--actual UPS said it had nothing to do with them.  Who is this number actually registered to, can anyone find out?

Probably phishing for information....it is fraud whoever is calling.

I let it go to voicemail and they said they were UPS Canada and that I have an outstanding invoice.  I ship to Canada all the time for business but never use the phone number they called on my UPS shipping labels (they called my cell)....this seems like Phishing to me.  Don't bother talking with them.

This number keeps on calling me too.  Real UPS says it is not them.  These fraud artists, whoever they are at 18668961573 are trying to get businesses to pay fake invoices that are not true.  Real businesses get so many invoices that you will pay it without checking.  Be warned, these people are scam artists.  We have reported this number to the authorities.

I got a call from this number as well. I looked it up and believed it to be a scam after reading some posts regarding it. I called UPS using the number on their website and it turns out the reference number they had given me was true.... so I guess it's not a scam? The people at the actual UPS number mentioned a package that was actually shipped to me.

Well if it is just report it, and maybe they prefer to say that it is not theirs as they aremore than likely trying to collect cross boarder broakerage fees and taxes, then that would be making them Collecting on Behalf of a 3rd party, Which is requires a collection license, check it out what collection practice are allowed and not allowed to do, so if they claim the number they would be in poo poo
