Got the call. Did not answer. Called the number back and a a recording thanking me for calling ATT. I do not think this is the telecom company.

It is AT&T reseller, they use a variety of numbers besides this one. Garbage, waste of time. Do not pick up.

AT&T trying to sell UVerse.  I have received 8 calls from them and every time I tell them to stop calling! Does no good to ask them to stop.

Number shows as 896-2943 (no area code). Has called about 10 times in the last three days. Never leaves a message.

They keep calling 866-896-2943 5 & 6 times a day even on Sundays-never leave a message and if you call back they say the number is disconnected- We are sick and tired of answering the phone and no one is there.

Have received two calls so far from them today, and also got a call from them last night about 9:45 PM Eastern time! I tried calling the number back, and received an automated male voice that introduced itself as AT&T, and that all of their service agents were busy. I hung up after hearing that and verifying that it WAS them. As an AT&T customer, they aren't making me happy by calling on late on a Friday or on a Saturday. Give us a break. (And why are they not eligible for the No Call List?).

I've been getting at least 2 or 3 calls daily from this number I already talked to these people and told them I am not intrested....I already have all the AT&T services I want or need...including paying extra for a "private number", which they have no problem violating!
