For the past 3 weeks we have recieved at least 10 calls per day from this number looking for a person that does not reside at our location or even have the same last name.  I called our phone company and they could not get a trace on it.  It is to the point of beyond annoying.  I want the calls to stop.  What do I do?

I also have the same problem, they say they are called "ancore", I just can not get them to stop calling, very rude people, too. Have you solved your problem yet?

I also have been receiving 5 or6 calls everyday. There is no one live on this number, probably a scam of some kind.

I would call this phone fraud, The more that you do this the more likely the FCC will investigate. You have to report this to your local phone provider first. Then the FCC if you do not get any results.

This is a horriffic collection agency by the name of Encore.
They call at all hours and will call from various numbers - blocked, unknown, anavailable, 555555555, 888888888, 866-896-3436.
You should file a complaint with the FTC - there are laws on this and they are in complete violation  Also - your State Attorney General.
They are based in California and you can Google them to get more information.
Apparently if you write them a cease and desist letter - by law - they are required to stop.

They have called at least 25 times in the last two days. They try to get you to verify info they should have in front of them.

866-896-3436 has called me about 10 times a day for the last week or so. Every single time i have told them explicitly that I am not the person that I am asking for and that they should never call me again. Is there any way to file harassment charges? because this is the very definition of harassment.

I only know that they are called Encore Receivable Management, based in Olathe, Kansas, their supervisor is called Ben, although I can not get them to connect me to him. Their numbers are 1-877-409-2110, 1-877-213-1160, they have been calling me day and night, weekday and weekend, looking for someone I don't know,and told me they can not find my number on their system so they can not remove me. Reporting to FTC did not seem to work. Maybe I should spend my days calling them, harrasing them, too?

I told them I'm being represented by an attorney.  Their response was "You have the money to pay for a Lawyer, but you can't pay your bill?!?!"  They Hang up on me, and call right back!

I pick up call from this Company as I wanted to work something out for the money I owe.  They are rude, and forceful on the phone so much that i had to get help from a Lawyer for the harassing calls that are nonstop all day and night.  Even getting computer calls from them at 2:00AM ! ! ! So I found a Lawyer to take me on no charge when i said I have the Verizon Call Logs from them showing all this nonstop.  I told them to contact my Attorney from now on, and this creepy woman says to me on the phone loudly "OH, SO YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY FOR A LAWYER BUT NOT YOUR BILL!!!"  Creepy hangs up on me, and all I hear is a Recording that says "GOODBYE" and I get Click - Hung up on!  I'm so mad that i call them back, and as soon as i say who I am I get again a Recording that says "GOODBYE" and I get Click - Hung up on again.  I try over and over, and each time a Recording that says "GOODBYE".  Then the Calls really started up every 2 to 5 minutes all through the night and into the 2:00AM Morning!  I had to unplug my phone because this is just nuts!  I did send them a Stop Calling me Letter, but they keep giving me a phony Mailing address saying "WHO HAVE YOU THAT ADDRESS?, NO, SEND THAT TO THIS ADDRESS..." The next time I get another Address thats different too.  They're Idiots if they think I'm going to make myself any sicker over call from them.  My only problem with all this is 57 calls from them jam up my line all day that my Doctor couldn't reach me with important information.  I had to put a special block on my phone to prevent them from all the calls to me, but it only works if their number shows up on the Caller ID, and most of them come in as "NOT_AVAILABLE" or "01234567" and of course I pick up them too because when the Hospital calls me I normally only see "NOT_AVAILABLE".

I HAVE A TON OF CALLS FROM THEM NONSTOP ALL DAY AND NIGHT.  

What really upsets me is, they know how sick I am and being out of work on a Medical Leave, that they increased the calls to me just because they know I'm at home so sick!  Any of this sound upsetting to you?  Well it is for me, when each time i pick up the phone I hear a rather upsetting dance on my soul of what a dead beat I am.  This kind of badgering is what makes people do irrational things when you feel like you have run out of options.  Like get on a plane and pay them a little face to face visit!  My problem is, my I.V. Line wont reach that far :-(

I hope they all come down with an incurable sickness and no health insurance, and then face what I face now!  They're all ScumBagie BottomFeederz
