- Sick Of This!The person from 866-901-3566 asked for a specific person who's name I recognize because debt collectors have been calling my number since day one looking for her. I have had my phone number for over 13 years and I still get these calls! This deadbeat apparently did have my phone number before I did. The calls used to be as often as several times a day. After several years it slowed down considerably and I now receive them about once a year. I thought about changing numbers, but that is a lot of hassle and I always thought they would eventually stop. It now seems certain they will never stop! It's always a different company. It seems to me that these debt collection agencies buy old lists of debtors including all that person's out-of-date information and they will keep trying to collect forever. I used to try to explain that I was given this phone number after the person they are looking for had given it up. I no longer acknowledge that I recognize the name. It makes them think you are the person they're looking for and are just lying to them. This makes the calls increase with a vengeance! I now insist that they mis-dialed or have a typo in their computer. I tell them I have an unlisted number and I'm in the Do Not Call Registry. I insist that they remove my phone number from their computer because "I don't want my phone number associated with this stranger." I don't know if that helps but it's all I can do.

- IrateThis number has called my number multiple times today. I finally called them back and some guy answers claiming to be some kind of repo/debt collector and tells me they need to speak to wanda. I explain to this man that I do not, nor have I ever known a wanda. They refuse to remove my number and hang up on me.

- LizThis number calls me at least two times every day. I don't answer phone calls from unfamiliar numbers so I never answered because they never left a message identifying who they were.
I decided to call back to see if they introduce themselves. A person answered "Regional Adjustment Bureau, how can I help you." I went to their website http://www.rabinc.com/ and it reads on their collector strategy tab:

Called my cell phone but left no message or voicemail either. - MimiThe woman asked for me by name. She said I had to give her my address. I said I don't give out personal information over the phone. She started yelling at me and said I had to tell her. I hung up on her.

- MineWe got a call from this number on a new land line we got through a TV/computer/phone package deal. Funny thing is that we never connected a phone to the line. We use our cell phones for all our friends and people who we want to talk to immediately. Everyone else gets our land line number (which has the volume on really low) and we screen them and call the people back when we are ready. If they don't leave a proper voiceail that we can understand, we don't bother with them. If we get a lot of calls from the same number, especially numerous calls within an hour or day) we will try to call them back with "*69" so they can't trace the call. If they Ade rude or won't tell us who they are - we ask for a supervisor, if that don't work or if they hang up on us, all bets are off and we give them a taste of their own Medicine. We take turns calling them and either hang up or ask a bunch of questions-never stating who we are.

- DDevneauThis is a VERY PUSHY - collection agency. They funneled me through three different people each one getting increasingly pushy. While I do have a collection account, they could not verify any information after the first person I talked to. Kept asking me for my phone number and address which they already verified. When I refused to give them my social security number - she got really pissy and said that they were going to mark it at "refused to resolve." I told her she was more than welcome to mail me anything that she wanted to - to the address that had already been verified and that from now on she was no longer allowed to contact me by phone. To which she called me a [***] and hung up on me. YEAH!

- AprilThis number called me tonight but what bothered me was they gave me the name of the person her maiden name date of birth AND last 4 digits of her social security number!! I said I have no idea who that was which is true but damn I could now open an account in her name course I NEVER would howver it is legal for them to just say all that info????
