If "MBCONTACT.COM 866-903-4555" appeared on your bank statement it means your credit card was used to buy from an Internet vendor who uses MBCONTACT.COM to process payments.

I was trying to download avg free and put transaction through accidentally for a product which cost £25.86. I tried to cancel said product by e mail without success. I would like my ac re credited with £25.86 forthwith as I have not received product and have since successfully loaded avg free 8.0 as no cost to myself

    SFRose,

Looks like I have been taken as well. I have called the company Advance Telecom Inc. and the broken english is well, not worthy of credit. However, paypal is the most secure way to pay. If you find out more, let me know

This is a scam.  I was looking for adobe acrobat reader and the offer was for 3 years for a reasonable amount.  When the confirm came from MBCONTACT, it was for for 5 times the amount advertised.  I called the 866 #, of course no one was available and their mailbox was full.  Fortunately, I checked this site, learned that it is a fraudulant company, and I closed my credit card immediately.

Yes,I wanted to download a 'trial version ' of Adobe Flash Player for my PC, and found an online site which indicated that it would cost only $2.95 U.D.I submitted..filled out the form with my credit card info, clicked to send, and got no email confirmation back.Later that day, I got an email from MBCONTACT.COM, indicating that I was being charged $ 44.83 !! I did call the 1-866 telephone number (1-866-903-4555). When I initially placed the call I was told by a computer generated voice that ' I was caller number 30 on hold '(got suspicious then, but waited..and waited, until I was finally connected with a live person.I was quite FRANK with the person on the other end, saying that I DID NOT 'download anything'.The thing that makes me leary about even calling this number that the entire time Imwas on hold, there were constant series of ' clicking noises' in/during the call.I asked the lady WHERE I was calling to, and she said, Holland.Geez, I HOPE " I've not been ripped off by even filling out the form online, OR, placing the telephone call.
P.S. When I spoke to these people at MBCONTACT, I was told that I would be issued a refund, credited back to my bank. I also called a general telephone operator, and she told me that generally, ALL 1-866 telephone numbers were toll free. ANYONE ELSE ever run adross this same scenario??
