- Baguette| 3 repliesThey called me three times in 24 hours, but didn't leave a message. When I googled the number, it showed up once as belonging to a credit union in Ohio called Wright-Patt, but the number is no longer listed on their website (looked like it had been cached previously). My best guess is that it was released by the credit union and then acquired by a spammer.
- DeannaThe number called me twice within 24 hours and didn't leave a message either time.
- ChrisI did recognize the number therefore I let it go to voicemail of which there was no message left. The end.
- Todd| 1 replyThis is a legit phone number from a credit union but scammers are spoofing the phone number with a robo-dailer to try to get bank details out of people. Block it (unless it's your bank).
Bank's statement here for reference: http://www.wpcu.coop/Index/LearnMore/AboutUs/ ... sonal_Info.aspx - Julie| 1 replyThis was a roto call supposedly from my credit union identical to the legit one I have gotten from my credit union. However, the first question it asked me to verify that it was me was the zip code related to my credit card. This was not a usual question so I hung up and called my credit union. I gave them the 866 number and they said that it was not them and that I did the right thing. The number called again this morning so I blocked it.
- Richard| 1 replyThis IS a legitimate call from the Fraud Prevention Division of the "Delta Community Credit Union" located in Atlanta, GA. It IS a robo call that assigns you a case number before you return the call. It WILL ask/verify the last 4 digits of your credit card, your zip code, and last 4 digits of your SS#. It will then recite ALL (suspect) recent transactions and ask you to verify or deny them by pressing #1 or #2.
I had 5 unauthorized transactions totaling over $500 dollars that occurred in Mountain Standard Time and we live in Eastern Time Zone, hence, the reason for verifying your zip code! I denied all of the unauthorized transactions, then the recording tells you to suspend all future transactions and informs you your Credit Card is suspended until you go to the "Delta Community Credit Union" to have your Credit Card reissued. What a great service my credit union provides!! I've learned NEVER use your Credit Card (or worse yet a Debit Card) at a restaurant - pay cash! I guarantee some unethical waiter(tress) will skim your card!- Caller: Delta Community Credit Union
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- JMurphThis *IS* a fraud prevention for Delta Community Credit Union. I just received a call alerting me that my Visa had been used at two different merchants in an area that I was not in.
- Caller: VISA Fraud Control

- Jeff| 1 replyI have used Delta Community Credit Union for a few years, and these notifications are INVALUABLE. They can call within minutes of a suspicious transaction, and a couple of times it was for transactions that were not mine. Program this number into your contact list, and answer when they call!

- ..... replies to Jeff.....
- Barbj replies to RichardIt is a scammer since I don't have an account with Delta Community and never heard of them.
- Barbj replies to ToddIf it's spoofed, you can't block it. Fake numbers can't be blocked.
- SotoThis is a a scam. They don't leave messages and I do not have any account with a credit union.
- RDavisWell, it was a legitimate call from my credit union, Delta Community. I did not answer the call initially, but I am so glad I was able to call back! Someone tried to make a $99 online transaction with my debit card number.

- B-Edwards replies to ShanaIf anyone is unsure about calls from a bank, credit union or credit card issuer - I advise people to take the info about what the call is about, but confirm nothing. Then call the contact number on the back of your card, or call a number you trust.
Not saying you post is factual or not. Being cautious is the safe route. There are many scams surrounding these calls, and shill posts are not unknown. - LoriI just called Delta Community Credit Union after reading the comments here and they did confirm that this is their VISA fraud prevention number.
- Caller: Delta Community CU
- je bryant| 1 replyThis number was infact delta community credit union verifying a charge on the Visa. I am out of state making a purchase. THANK YOU DELTA.
- Well replies to je bryantYou really couldn't have been too sure about it if you knew who it was but looked the number up anyway.
- jonClaimed to be my credit union, but when I called the number on the back of my credit union debit and credit cards, they said the telephone number left on the answering machine, and the fraud alert number were NO good with them. The message on the answering machine also gave four numbers that belonged to a credit card, but the message was for a debit card.
- jon| 2 repliesI have read several messages here claiming that Delta Community Credit Union DID make these calls, BUT I called Delta Community Credit Union at the number on the back of the credit and debit cards, and they said this phone number and the fraud alert number ARE NOT, REPEAT, NOT THEIR'S!!!!
- Caller: claimed to be Delta Community Credit Union, but was NOT this credit union
