Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

    If they are bothering you,

    Report them:

    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You might have to yell at them or talk over them. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them

Just happened to my son, who is a minor. I called and was told they didn't call him (really, I have the voicemail and your number) I have the person's name but he wouldn't give me the company name. He said it wasn't relevant and he didn't know why I needed it.

Just received same call @ 12:55pm from some named Chelsey Rogers, saying she's a legal assistant with Migliaccio for depositions and restitution, instructed to contact me with case #, legal status is currently pending, paused (sounds like she’s reading from a script), recommend contacting her back because her purpose is to provide me an opportunity to make a formal statement outside of court. Give her a call at 8669149578, ext. 207.  Bogus call, yet another scam and I'm keeping the voice mail message for future reference.

I received the same call from a Tammy Sweet. She also left a nasty message on my family members voicemail. It was the same # & ext. She says it will go to a 3rd party on Monday for legal action. I called back & she wasn't even there.

Ask the caller for his or her name, company, street address, telephone number, and professional license number. Many states require debt collectors to be licensed. Check the information the caller provides you with your state officials, or the state in which the debt collector holds a license. If the caller refuses or is unable to provide you with information about his company, or if you can’t verify the information he provides, do not give money to the caller or company.

Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." This notice must include:

    The amount of the debt
The name of the creditor you owe
A description of certain rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act

If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, consider requesting this information in writing or seeking assistance before paying the debt to make sure the debt, and the company, are valid.

Tip: You can consider sending the collector a letter requesting the information by using one of the CFPB's sample letters. You can also submit a complaint to the CFPB or you can contact your state Attorney General’s office.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Submit a complaint with the CFPB or get in touch with your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers.

Tip: You can use this sample letter to write a letter demanding the debt collector stop contacting you. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Tip: If you're having trouble with debt collection, you can submit a complaint with the CFPB online or by calling (855) 411-CFPB (2372).

yes , they are a collection agency that threaten you with coming to arrest you. If you have to arrest someone, you are not going to call them and inform them you are coming.  When I told them to come, they asked if I could verify my address. I laughed and hung up on them.  They use different numbers every week.  I just block them  and when they call from a different number , I do not answer and when I hear the VM i block them again. Theuwill eventually stop for a month or 2  and then they satrt again.

I've been getting the same treatment as those of you above.  They have called my dad, ex-wife, current wife, daughters and son.  Same person "lisa".  They all have been threaten if they don't get some info on me.  Of course they all just hang up then text me that this person called them.  I have told my family it's a scam and just don't answer their phone and or block the number when they try to call again.  And yes they have called me with the same threats, they just don't know that I do work with a lot of attorneys and do have access to the states attorney general.

    A Granddaughter Out for Justice
This number has been calling for my grandfather for almost two weeks threatening and harnessing him that they are going to sue him. He has Alzheimer and Dementia so I decided to call them to see what this was really about. The man that called for him was named Kyle Newman at ext 205 but that wasn't his ext . This ext belonged to some female but she was out of the office when I called and Kyle was no where to be found but Jessy at ext 203 was available. She told me that they had a pending lawsuit against my grandfather that needed to be cleared up ASAP but they didn't want any payments because it wouldn't stop it from going to court. They said with interest charges it was over $2000 but they would settle with a 50% settlement which would be $600. I asked her to mail or email me the papers about this so I can look further into it but I never received anything but I continue to get the same calls but from different other machines or people. Another male called a few days later and I called him back to only get his voice mail so I left him a message but he never returned my call but I did get another recorded message. I called a law firm and they checked this number out and said it was associated with a scam so try to avoid it if possible but believe me at times it is very hard to ignore because they call from several different numbers. So just be on the look out because I feel if it's real then they would have no problem talking to you in order to clear up the matter of explain what id actually going on. Well I wish everyone that is getting calls from this number the best of luck because I'm still trying to figure out what I need to do in order to stop this.

They said I need to call back so that I could be considered "compliant." They did not say who they were calling for.
