- Ned| 5 repliesGot a call from Peter Brite saying that he was a loan officer from Avalon Lending Group (they were once known as Alliance Lending Group). Said that I was approved for a 15k personal loan and all I had to do was send 5 monthly payments, totalling $1877. I was very suspicious, so I asked many questions, including what is the MoneyGram info and all he would say was call when you are at the MoneyGram location and I will have a customer svc rep call you right back. I pretended that I was at a MoneyGram and called and then he gave me the MoneyGram info and it was a pay-to in Canada. I told him that he was full of it and I was not born yesterday. He argued very angrily and told me that if I did not send the money, then he was sending me to collections. He has no info on me except my name and phone number, so I knew he was trying to scare me. This has been over a month now and I have not heard anything else from them.
Don't let someone like this fool you. Look into and question everything b/c if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is. I hope someone catches this SOB and whoops his ass.- Caller: Avalon Lending Group

- Donnetta McCall replies to Ned| 4 repliesI also talked to that same person, and he told me that he was the supervisor and that no one was over him. The only difference with me is that I had already sent him the money and now he keeps on giving me these different days when my money is suppose to come.
- kamii replies to Donnetta McCall| 3 repliesI fell for the scam and I'm very upset. I spoke to Allan Dupont first. I did think it was strange to be pressured to send the fee, but needed the money. Then I got a call from Peter Brite promising me a loan to be wired to my account directly. I got the run around and was then told it was mailed. I was scammed out of $3600 and no loan!

- Marycela replies to laaksonHow did you get scam for so much money?
- madman replies to laaksonI know it's been a while since you posted your complaint, but I would like you to know that I have contacted the FBI and also the Canadian Government and the Canadian Complaint and Fraud Prevention Bureau. They have informed me that there have been several complaints and they are investigating. They also said that they cannot guarentee, but do try to recover your lose. My suggestion would be to contact them yourself and file another complaint. The more they get and the more information they receive, hopefully the better our chances of recovering our money.
