This number called my Dad and left a message and case # so I could call them.  Does anyone know who this is?

I just got a call from them today saying I am being sued and need to give them my cc info so I don't have my wages garnished. They knew the last 4 of my social... I'm freaking out that now I'm afraid this could be q scam!!!!

Do not give them your credit card or banking information!  If you were truly being sued, a process server (or whatever the correct term is) would just show up and serve you the papers.  You cannot have your wages garnished without a court order.  This smells like a scam.  If you speak to them again, demand they mail you (not email) validation of whatever debt they claim this is.  They will likely refuse.  Then you know 100% that it is a scam.

I haven't been served or anything. I have a po box not a normal address. What do I do?

It's a SCAM!!!!!! This is the second time it has happened to me!
I called the Attn. General, call them also in your state
To let them know! DO NOT give them any information
And tell them they are a scam and you are reproting them
And hang up! Do not answer the phone again. I was of if it
was real they have to deliver it to your door and have to
sign for it.

They called the owner of my company and told him that I owed them money and that if he didn't have me call them back, they would sue him.

They called again and I got the call and they told me that they would sue me for the next 10 years for the $4,445.00 that I suppose to owe them but they would settle for $500.

The same number called my mother-in-law today....I have noooo idea how they got her number..and told them that they were suing me unless I pay some crazy amount immediately. She called me all worried and told me the number..and that it was an "officer"  coming to give me papers and take all my paychecks! This is the number they gave...but their actual phone came up from an unidentifiable number.

This number called me and told me that I owed a debt and the company say that a courier delivered a summons for court but I researched and nothing shows up I believe it's a scam  they wanted my credit card info.. Watch out ppl..  There address is  540 hidden valley pkwy Ste 106-175 corona ca 92879

Replying to my own post I got more info on this company called bg m associates I found out that there address is a po box number so I called the company that provides the box and they told me that it is a guy that goes there to pick up his mail and he said that it looks like a lot of checks out of this guys box the phone number to the mailbox place is 951 371 9600 I'm going after this so called bg and m associates I will not give up they are not going to scam me..

Got a voicemail left from this number. Said they were BG&N assoc.  Here is where it gets weird...  the person they were asking for is my wifes EX from over 20 yrs ago. Never got a second call from them.  Said they were going to deliver documents between 8-4 and if they could not deliver them to someone at my home who could sign for them, then they would deliver them to the place of employment.  Guess I am lucky they only called once and did not continue to harass me.  Definitely a scam people.

They told me the same thing. I was unable to find much information on the company. I haven't heard anything else from them since I told the lady that I was requesting proof of this debt via the USPS and that I was going to be calling The BBB, the federal trade commission and consumer affairs to confirm the validity of the company.

Got a call from this number and they were asking for my husband - they said that they attempted twice to deliver "papers" and they were going to attempt one more time and if no-one signs they are going to mark it as unable to serve. It's very odd. Is this a scam?

Stop calling my cell with unwarranted threats or I will report you to the attorney general

has anyone actually been sued? i told them to file the paper work and the girl named Tamra Easton was the one who assisted me from a placed called BG&M Associates. They called my step dad's phone number.. I also have a P.O Box so I didn't receive any type of summons. Does anyone have any more information about this company?

I received a call stating that I owed 1500 dollars for an old credit card.  The said that my "OLD" unpaid credit card account had been sold and they are demanding payment.  I told them that I had paid it, they told me that it wasn't reported.  They will close the account for $700.  The have all my information and my prepaid cc #..  I was worried about a scam so I googled and this is what I have found

I too received a strange call from this # and am finding out it is a scam because the debt I was being approached on was settled already over 3 years ago. what they were saying made no sense at all. do not respond to these people. The # came up unknown on my phone. and somehow they also had called my. moms # as well. the # they left on message was1-866-238-3846. I find it unbelievable what people are able to get away with these days and how easy they can access personal information.

I received a call yesterday at work  from a gentlemen wanted to verify I would be home or at work address Tomorrow between 9-4 so he can serve me papers.  I ask what this was in regards to he said he was hired by BG&M legal associates and that I could call them 866-238-3846.  He gave me a case number and said he would hold off an hour.  I called left message.  I'm not sure if anyone called back since I left my business number.  I read these other post and still unsure if I need to be concerned......

No process server calls ahead to see if/when you'll be home.  That would defeat their purpose because the person being served would now have the heads-up to NOT be home!  If you talk to them again, demand they mail you validation of the supposed debt.  The law requires them to do this.  
I have never seen any credible information that anyone has actually been served after getting these idiotic phone calls.

This is a total "no-brainer"! All you have to do is think it through.
Process servers do NOT call ahead of time. EVER!
Process servers do NOT pass on messages from creditors. EVER!
Process servers do not "hold off" for an hour. EVER!
Process servers get paid for delivering legal papers. They don't deliver, they don't get paid. EVER! The only variation to this is if deputy sheriffs deliver legal papers in your locale. And they don't call ahead or deliver messages either. EVER!
These buffoons are using a very old, very stale intimidation tactic. By their use of these tactics, they have verified that they are bogus or fraudulent collectors trying to collect on a bogus or invalid debt. Demand that they comply with the federal laws under the FDCPA. Demand written proof of their claim. By mail, not e-mail or fax. Then sit back and laugh like hell. They'll rant, rave, scream, threaten and try everything they can think of to shovel BS up your a**!
Ignore them or block their calls.

it was a different number  866-264-6296 but the caller was the BG & M Associates. how did they get the info they had on me?  how do I stop them? I am calling the original company who sent me the card. I went to a debt consolidation compay and thought I had cleared this but then got a call from BG & M and I figured somehow the debt was not completely clear. I don't know how anyone can do this to people. I will never have another credit card. it is too risky.
