The Ticket to Work program is a legitimate program that the government offers to disabled people to attempt to get back into the workforce.  There are many benefits.  I was on disability for 3 years and was desperate because I was barely able to survive on the money I was receiving.  I am back to work and will try my best to keep it this way but the Ticket to Work program gives me reassurance that if I can't, I can go back to my disability pay without being penalized or having to go through all of the [***] I originally went through.

That is only for 9 months from what I have been told.  After that you lose your disability and your Medicare.  The positions only pay somewhere around minimum wage, which would make it impossible for you to purchase your own medical insurance.

Call blocker might help.  You might want to block the 866 area code.  It is often used by scammers.

6 months later they are calling again. Social Security is not affiliated with them. They are scammers.

It's not a scam but a "we caught you" program Bill CLINTON created during his administration. What they do is get you back to work only for SSDI to cut you off. Research the ticket to work program!!!! If they think people who lives in pain, on two types of pain killers, can still work they need to get a life!!! For me I am a 100% disabled veteran so I don't have the financial hardship many do living on SSDI alone. The government doesn't care one bit about people's financial issues when it comes to disability while Congress gets a hefty payraise SSDI folks get nothing.

That doesn't seem like a report of an unwanted call, more like a political complaint that won't help anyone know about the call.

this call is from NTI@home virtual staffing.  It is a legitimate service to find at home jobs for those on social security disability.  There is a "do not call" option on their website.  The link is http://www.ntiathome.org/contact-nti.shtm

Even if it is Legitimately from Social Security Administration it is still a scam...   To qualify for total disability, according to the SSA’s definition, you must be completely unable to perform any work which you have ever performed in the past. SSA also must deem you incapable of adjusting to other work which is currently available for someone of your physical and mental abilities and level of education.
This tells me that SSA is trying to trick you into Learning a job then cut you off any Benefits because you no long meet the requirements.

It isn't a scam if the company legitimately is contacting you based on the Ticket to Work program.  They train you and you usually work from home making calls for their clients.  They pay somewhere around minimum wage.  Yes, SS would like to get you off their payroll.  But that doesn't mean that it is a scam.  If you call them up just as I did they will explain the program to you.  A scammer certainly would not do that.  I have detailed in another post what I was told by Social Security.

I wouldn't necessarily say this is a scam but I do question the amount to help the company will give you to become employed. this is an independent contractor seeking to get your ticket ( payment from the Social Security Administration for helping those on SSDI return to work) from The Ticket to Work Program. I am currently on the Ticket to Work Program and DVRS Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services) given my ticket. They did little to no work helping me to become employed so if there was another organization or agency to help it is definitely worth looking into but do not jump right into anything. The help the government gives to rain to Great you into the working force after a disability is to teach you how to do an interview or create a resume more closely designed for those with cognitive functional disorders. So in the end it is pushed onto you to find your own employment as well as being punished for working from the government because $1,100 a month is deemed to be a livable salary laughable joke.

From my conversations with SS, what happens is this.  These outfits hire you to work from home, either on the phone or computer.  They pay up to $10 an hour.  You are allowed to earn money, up to maybe a $1,000 a month before they start deducing from your disability check.  You work for 9 months.  At the end of 9 months if you continue, you lose your SSD and Medicare.

Not a very smart attorney. You don't know that lawsuit is one word, and if you've blocked the number, you can't possibly know if they try to call again.

Company called NTI offering me a phone based work at home job for SSA to help get back to work. This call is legit, and you are under no obligation to entertain there offer. I actually called our local SSA office who said they were authorized by SSA to call benefit recipients and make this offer available. They stressed to me that no one is under any obligation to accept there offer. That was good enough for me.

Called about SSDI work from home. Um, I am retired not disabled. Plus? My retirement is a company pension not government.
