Caller ID says, "Toll Free Caller." After receiving a lot of calls from this number everyday (and no one is there the times I answered), I finally called them. It is AT&T. I told them that I had received many calls from this number and would like to be put on their do not call list. She verified my number and said she would take care of it. Let's hope so!

    Idiots, con artists, etc...

I mean really? Any supposed 'company' using 'TOLL FREE CALLER' to identify itself on caller ID gets a prompt answer and hang-up from me... That's only if I'm feeling in a mood to do that much! lmao

If these losers/scammers put as much time and effort into a real business model they'd make millions instead of just enough to get by till the next SUCKER they scam... simply PATHETIC

866 948-8553   is someone claiming to represent AT&T and trying to sell me some kind of new service. They call several times a day even though I told them not to call anymore. I understand there are law firms that initiate class action law suits against firms that violate the "Do not call" law. If this law firms do it on a contingency fee basis I would like to join the class action law suit.    email:  billwr101@aol.com

At&t (telemarketing).   Losing customers out the back door because of poor quality of products and services.  Need to constantly advertise to bring in new subscribers.  Difficult to stop calls, but they can't call you if you're not a customer.

Amen!   They lost my business a couple of weeks back when I called them about an issue and got a little bait and switch tactics on my  Internet.  Double my speed at less cost?   Speed stayed the same (snail slow)  and got a confirming letter from them,  but the price went up from what was quoted.  In march it will go up another 10 dollars per month.   Was not what the customer svc person told me   (Rajesh's sister Pria) and no one will put it back the way it was......when I was happy..  There Tech support screwed up my Registration set up an I couldn't even get on-line.  I had to get an independent local company to re-do everything.   I called them back and cancelled everything I had with them.  1 home phone,  2 cell phones, and 1 Internet.   Since then I have found that there are other options besides Granny AT&T.

"<can't call you if your not a customer>"     That has been tested and yes they can.   If you use a Landline Telephone,  internet,  cell phone,  Direct TV,   or access their hubbing repeaters,    either directly or indirectly,   at some point you are accessing AT&T facilities.  Therefore you are considered a customer.   That's what happens when our lovely government  (I'm speaking politicians....not partys)   deregulates and allows AT&T or any company to once again become a big power controlling monopoly (almost).   God blessem.

AT&T trying to see U-Verse Package.  Worst plan in the world as far as I'm concerned.  Claimed faster internet speed at less cost than I'm currently paying.  WRONG!  Slower speed: with no improvement from their technical customer service crew following my complaints.  MORONS.  Claimed bundling services of phone, internet, cable etc was more efficient & cost savings.  WRONG!  Worse performance as 911 won't even work with U-Verse and battery backup in case of power failure lasts LESS THAN 8 HOURS. Guess you're Shyt out-of-luck if your power isn't restored in 8hrs!  BAD IDEA.  Signed up for a 90 day trial period and got the hell out of there, only to return to my original carrier (who had already told me I'd be back as they were well familiar with AT&T's empty promises.  Save yourself the grief and don't even answer their phone calls. MORONS...

Correction to previous complaint misspelling:  AT&T trying to SELL U-Verse Package (not "see" U-Verse Package).

This was the second call of the day from AT&T. The previous one was from 866-616-2095. I called that number back and told them to leave us alone, we weren't going to buy U-Verse! Didn't do a whole lot of good.  Tried calling the number back and got a recording that said to press one to be removed from their call list.  The recording then told me they were unable to process my request at the present time and to call back during regular business hours.  Looks like the computer that took the call had to wait for another computer to come on duty. Isn't it wonderful that they have so much respect for their customer's wishes. If you can get phone service from somebody else, by all means do it!  Why do they hassle us because some AT&T big shot made a bad choice with U-Verse and is trying to save his bacon?

They've been calling with increasing frequency here, too. I keep telling them the same thing that usually buys us a couple of months of peace: we have multiple upgraded HD TiVos (*most* TiVos don't work with U-Verse), and we have too much time and money invested in our TiVos to change anything until they all stop working.

Yes, this number is AT&T.  They call me at least three times a day for over a month now.  I called them with a blocked cell number. (*67) To see who it is.  They never leave a message.  Caller ID - Toll Free Caller.  I think I will call AT&T regular number and report them.  Hopeful this will stop the nagging no message calls.  When I called this number a girl named Melissa answered stating her name and AT&T, she didn't sound professional to me.
