I got a letter on United Airways letterhead stating that I had qualified for 2 free r/t airline tickets and that they had contacted me several times without success. I was to call this phone number by 1/16 or they would give my tickets away...

I called this number and spoke to Ronda who explained that this is part of the Travel Rewards.

This is a marketing mailing for a Travel Club. You and your spouse must attend a full 2 hr presentation and they require that you pay the taxes and fees first and then they will will send you a certificate for the tickets. The tickets will have black out periods and you will need to use it within the next year.

I do not want to waste my time on these types of scams. I call it a scam because the tickets are not free nor did you win them. "You have to quality for the Travel Club" and you need to pay the taxes and fees.

I answered the phone w/o looking at the Caller ID.

I got a recording that said, "You have been selected to receive a free trip to the Bahamas!".

And I hung up. They keep calling. They let it ring for at least 50 rings, yeah 50, no kidding.
These people are nuts.
