I had recieve these stupid messages on my phone, when I called back and asked what the company was, this really insensitive guy said it was some sort of "asset investigations" firm. Well come to find out it was about some credit card debt I had. I forgotten all about it & honestly didn't think I had to take care of it. So I contacted my family's attorney, unfortunatley, this Mr. Marciano guy was correct. They gave me a settlement for 50 cents on every buck i owed!!!! I saved a TON OF CASH!!!!!

investigator SEAN REYNOLDS contacted me approximately 3 days ago pertaining to an on going investigation in my home town county.. at first I thought this was a hoax until I received a message on my side door from him.. when I contacted him back I was shocked to no I was in such trouble.. he assisted me in taking care of this matter though his legal department..I recently graduated college and had this matter gone any further it would have greatly affected my career in law enforcement..

It is funny. These people would call you about some court grievances that is filed against you in a county court.  They would try to sound very legit by giving some case number. They would ask you to call them back so that you could give them your address to send you the summon. Tell me how stupid is that!!!! Especially that I passed a background check to be P.O.S.T. certification.

We were contacted by a "special investigator" Michael Rosedale(?) in regards to a civil complaint filed against me.  He stated that if I did not settle this matter immediately, serious consequences will result including going to court.  He even went as far a stating that I should call my attorney to contact them to resolve the problem.  Phone # 1-866-961-3494 was given for contact.  Receiving this message really disturbed my wife.  I listened to the phone message and suspected that it was bogus.  The message was not very clear & sounded like a recording.  Being curious, I called the phone number and received a voice message from Worldwide Consumer Search.  With a little research online, 800Notes and several other sites supported my suspicion about the threatening call.  It is the same scenario as with other complaints filed against this phone# and WCS.  They are trying to steal your personal information and/or money through intimidation of legal action.  PLEASE BEWARE: NEVER GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL OR FININCIAL INFORMATION VIA UNSOLICTATED PHONE REQUEST OR E-MAIL.  BE SAFE!!

Received a call from a Mark Stone Jan 13, 2009 for someone with the same last name as mine. Left a call back number and a case number. Upon returning the call, the person I spoke to rudely hung up on me. My number is unlisted and I do not know the whereabouts of the person they were looking for. Glad to know the real reason for the call.

Recieved a series of harassing phone calls from a so caled Investigator from this 866-961-3494. They seem to like violating a fair number of the lawas under the Federal Fair Debt Collections Act.  Their threats and intimidation tactics are shocking expecially since I hae no idea who this person is they are attempting to find. I am looking into how too report them their harassment to the appropriate officials.  They attemp to sound very official with a case number and string are threats of a legal action  - the law clearly states they can not intimidate anyone into action.  

The debt collector may just be liable to you for statutory damages of up to $1,000, plus any actual damages suffered, plus attorney fees!

Another powerful tool for stopping harassing phone calls is to record the phone conversation. Inform the caller at the beginning of the call that you are taping the call as evidence for filing a formal complaint with the State Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. If your phone system does not have a way to record conversations, purchase an inexpensive cassette tape or digital type answering machine capable of recording several minutes and that allows recording while on the phone. Another option, if your phone has a speaker option, is to place it in this mode and use a regular or hand-held tape recorder to tape the conversation.

ALWAYS inform the caller at the beginning of the call that you taping the call.

This guy is clearly violating the law, your next stop should be the State Attorney General's consumer protection division.

This is Investigative Carter.  This is an attempt to contact you & notify you of 2 charges that have been formally filed against you. Case B122-203, you are advised to contact my office on this matter as soon as possible.  If I'm not in leave a name & number at where I can contact you at my number is 866-961-3494.
I figured that it was a hoax because he should have known my name & he would not have contacted me on my cell phone.  This is one call that I am not returning!

Yes, I got calles from these so called investigators. These people are scum and try to threaten you. I called them back and left them a message saying I received a threating call and I am filing an complaint.they have never called me back

We DO pay our bills, miscreant.  These collection agencies are the bottom of the barrel.  They call people with similar names to the debtors, or even call people at random.  These parasitic collectors think they are above the law.

my parents recieved a call From a Investigator Edward Marinelle. he called and said that i had a class b feleony on me of possesion of good with miliciouse ( not sure of spelling) intent. he said that i could go to jail for a year. then i started crying and he said " hey let me talk to the attorny and see what we can do" so he came back on adn said " give me $ 205.00 tonight and come up with the rest by the 19th so we paid it. well after getting my father involved and started thinking about it i found this website. this all has to do with a credit card i have like 8 years ago. i relize i was threatened in to this so i am cancelling all my banking info and getting my money back asap. this may be a lagit company but they are illegaly tring to collect a debt. and if anyone says other wise they are all wrong.

got a call on my answering machine which i kept on there to file a formal complaint.  they were looking for my brother and also called my husbands family who were in the phone book.  what does my husbands family have to do with my brother.  david fiske ext 25 proceeded to say:  they are serving notice pending court action to be filed and formalized against him, he has been named as a respondent and must appear, you or your attorney can contact my office.  failure to respond immediately will result in further action and litigation to be processed against him.  what ever happened to the privacy act.  they don't even know who they are calling.
