A lady called and it showed up as Unknown. She left a message saying her name was Barbara Johnson and that I had passed bad checks with the intent to defraud a financial institution (BS!!!!!!)....she said I needed to call the legal dept back before I am served with court papers...Such BS!!!!

A lady called and it showed up as Unknown. She left a message saying her name was Tracy Freemans and that I had failed to repay a payday loan from Checkmate. Told me I would be served papers at my home or place of employment and I had violated laws with the intent to defraud a financial institution.  She also said I needed to call the legal dept back before I am served with court papers.  I called back just for giggles and told her I had never taken a loan out and if she had any further questions she could contact my attorney.  She never asked for the name of the attorney.  She did probe for information verification such as my social security number and address and I told her I was not going to verify anything she said.  And I told her again if she had any questions she could contact my attorney and again she never asked for his name.  I agree with Allie, total BS!!! filed a complaint with FTC and FBI Internet fraud teams.

I would like to know who this company is that is calling me they say the name of the comapny is South East Litigation...If it does have something to do with a loan i took out two years ago I would like to pay it back..but it just seems suspicious becasue they been saying they were going to serve me papaers at my job n home for the past year..and the noise in the back ground just didbt sound like a legit office

I reciceved a call from Clark Rayto from this number he called my work and wanted my scedule to serve me with a summons because i am being sued. he was very nasty to my boss threated to call our corporate office. they keep hurassing my work and soon i will be getting fired over this

They called my brother's house and left a message saying that I had better get in touch with them or they werre going to show up at my house to serve papers on me for what I DON'T KNOW!!  Anyway, they are a bunch of goons who think they are going to intimidate someone.  First of all, it's against the law to call someone that is related to you and give them any information regarding debt collecting or whatever. I am about to call them back and unload on them.

I have been getting these calls for almost 3 years now...I have never been served.  I really did have to go to court for a real credit card last week, not related to this..told the lawyer I lost my job and have no way to pay them back.  Judge dismissed the case. Can't get blood from  a stone...These people are just goons, and I love to f**k with them....it has kind of become a hobby..lmao

Same call asked for my boss. My husband took out a Pay day loan long ago and yes we paid. I think those loans give your number to these people and they try to make you pay for the old loan. Has to be fraud because they can not talk to your boss about your bill. never.. It would be nice if we were protected from this . I am not a perfect person but I hate big fat lies... Hope Marcus Johnson gets his for lies.

Received a voicemail from a woman in this organization Monday threatening as with the others above.  I then received a call this morning from a man while I was walking into a meeting.  I explained I have no idea what he's talking about and I can't talk I'm at work.  He told me it might be fraud and I needed to speak to his boss.  I said again I can't talk I'm at work and he started yelling at me.  I hung up, he called back immediately, I hung up on him again.  Now my teenage kids are telling me he called and left voicemails for them this morning saying I have 24 hours to call him back or I would be served.  I guess it's time to get my attorney on them.  Be careful.

Got a call from a man that states he is a private investigator by the name of Bryan Warner and that I have a case pending and to avoid being served with court papers to call 1-866-967-0156. He gave a case # too.

I did not let him know that it was me on the line, I said I would give the message.....he called my work #.

I think you are right about the pay day loan thing.....because thats when I starting getting these calls too......such idiots.

Just received a message from Detective Johnson Ortiz from the Fraud Department. I don't answer calls that come up as "unknown" on my phone. He used my father-in-law's name in his message. Didn't say the name of a police department. RED FLAG!!!!! SCAM.

Got a call asking for my mom. They wanted to make sure her social wasn't being used fraudulently. Guy said his name is Preston Cobb. He said call back at 866-967-0156 and his ext is 304. I figured it was a scam.

THREATS TO SUE FOR FRAUD ON A CHECK AND HARRASSMENT!!!! Scammers who pray on those who dont know any better! Any legitlimate debt collector willl announce that they are and will NOT give out personal info to anyone except the debtor!! SCAM!!! Report them to the FCC!!!!!!
