Call from Amazon customer support charges on today’s purchase $979.99 on default card

Supposedly a call from Amazon stating that a $979.99 charge on my default card will be charged and the item shipped unless I call 866-971-0713 and cancel the order.

Call about $979.99 on my Amazon account. I'm supposed to call this number to report if fraudulent.  Sound pretty fishy, especially since the supposed call from Amazon came from my own area code and phone exchange.

A voice message about some fraud and asking me to call the number.

Call 866.971.0713 if I did NOT make this purchase.
Get real!!

Computer voice letting me know my default card is being charged $979.99 and to call this number if I did not make the purchase.

I just got the call today from an unknown number. They left a voice msg to call back to this number (866) 971-0713, he asked me for my name, when I asked him why I didn’t see the charge in my account, he hung up on me. Definitely it smell like fraud, be careful!!

Call about $1,279.00 being added to my Amazon card, don't have a card.  Call 866-971-0713 to report fraud.  I say it is scam.

Automated call saying I have made a purchase of $1279.99 on Amazon.com and to call 866-971-0713 if I did not make the purchase, but if I don't call, the delivery will arrive at my house in 2-3 days. The voicemail was left 4 days ago and I have not seen a charge on my card. Sounds like a scam to me.
