I got a text message telling me to call this number, because my credit union card had been frozen.  I don't bank with a credit union, and since they didn't say which credit union I'm guessing its a scam.  The message also gave an email address - g6@tmomail.net.  When I called the 866 number, I got a message that all circuits were busy and to call back later.  Whatever...

Got a text message: 973@ncua.com / / C. U. card frozen. Call at 8669713999! This is probably a scam so do not fall in the trap, I called that number and required my credit card number and other personal information, which a regular bank would not require it that way.

Received cellphone SMS message to call 866-971-3999 to "reactivate CU card". (Have been receiving these quite often recently).  Since I have a VoIP number I don't use for inbound calls, I decided to call.  Number when called answers as "24 Hour Banking Center" in a synthesized voice and states that 3 pieces of information are required to reactivate this fictitious card the SMS message was referencing to.  The first request was to enter your 16 digit card number. Did not enter any card info, but after 3rd prompt tried entering 0 to get a live person without success.  Same enter 16 digit card number request repeated over and over.  Eventually the call was terminated from the other side.

Since I didn't supply 16 digits for the 1st request I didn't get the 2nd and 3rd prompts, but they are probably for expiration date and CVV code on the back of the card.

Please don't call these people and give them any information that is requested.

I have been getting lots of different texts stating my CU card frozen, legend bank card frozen, even got a call saying that my husband had an overdue video. All BS, because we don't even have accounts with any of these idiots. Once I even got a call telling me that I had won a trip to an exciting destination. Since I don't enter any contests I told them to hold and just laid the phone down. What a waste of my time. I just delete them wishing I could bombard their phones with a bunch of CRAP!

Have been getting these text messages to call this number once a week or so. I'd really like to know if there's a way to report this to my carrier or some other authority to get these to stop. It's obviously phishing scams, but who do you tell?

Just another Phishing / Scam number. I am getting this crap daily and I did not receive this crap until I switched to T-Mobile and requested the text message service.  All my texts have come from or thru t-mobile.com.  T-mobile does not seem concerned about this as they must be making money on both end of these texts.  It certainly cost me every time a text is received that I do not want.  Changing Service Providers must be the answer to this SCAM............

These are just scams and continue to come thru all have reported but they still are coming to my phone number.  Here's the list for just the last week in October 2009.
877-277-4019, 877-417-9338, 877-827--7048 and 866-971-3999.  Do not call these numbers as they are scams from the same dumb company.  Turn them in for the no call and maybe, but I would not bet on it, for the calls to stop.

been getting texts msg on mine & my husbands cell phones for a week now. We are on t-mobile as well. The first number we called it was busy that was saying from usbank 786-666-1054 1800-451-4204 @web860.linux-hosting.com//usbank-446053300xxxxxxx that our credit card was limited. Then we get more from g6@tmomail.net saying the same thing. Husband called and of course they asked for the card number. lady said they are 3rd party he has to call back tomorrow. WTFE seeing how I pulled up this site & see I am not the only one having issues. Also, I will NVR give out my info over the phone. What phone providers do you guys have as well?
