866-973-2263

My phone rang once with 'private caller' and the ring was a double ring, I think my phone company has set up my account to ring that way for telemarketers. Then it rang again this way. About 5 minutes later it rang with the above mentioned number (866-973-2263) and the 'name' on that was 'Private caller'.

How is this even legal? Are there not enough victims of stalking/harrasment in North America suffering, that our legal system wouldn't protect us from this kind of supposed 'harmless' pain? I mean to say, it should be illegal because it causes people who've been victimized (sp?) in their past to look at their phones with fear once more. Maybe someone out there will understand what I mean by my rant.

Who would I call to get a new law in place?

I placed this here for anyone getting this pattern of calls or this phone # calling...but especially for other victims of harrassment.
