I received the same scam IRS call today. They got threatening with me but since I received my IRS refund check the day before I knew it was a scam. I played along and pretended to be scared and then started to laugh so the gig was up. They yelled and threatened some more so I calmly asked if they wanted to hold while I patched in the police and we all three could talk this out. They yelled one last obscenity at me then hung up. I thought it was amusing but can see how it could be very upsetting to others especially the elderly. I reported them to the authorities at the website others have posted. Oh...another tactic I have used in the past (yes, this is the third time this has happened to me with different scams) is to pretend to be scared and then say "I need to go get my credit card can you hold for a second." I put them on hold and never come back. They never called back.

Received a call today from the same. I immediately knew it was a scam and told them so and hung up. They immediately called back threatening me with bodily harm to certain orifices on my body he called back five times and I contacted the police and they could also hear the threats. Was informed that when they call if we recognize the number just don't answer because all they're looking for now is to get a rise out of us.

I would not be surprised if this tigta.com site is a scam

I received a call this morning from 866-978-5847. The person identified herself as an IRS agent and the IRS was going to arrest me. First of all, THE IRS NEVER, EVER CALLS YOU! EVER! Anyone who receives a call like this, do not panic, it is a scam. I knew it was a scam, so I played along.  In fact, I called them back several times, just to chat. They finally said that they would consider another call from me as harassment.  LOL

Some Indian [***] called my mom wanting money. Told her to go to the bank and withdrawn money for back taxes. She does not owe!! When I called him back and ask for his supervisor he starting cursing me!! Smh. This is a scam and he needs to go to jail.!! I am heated!! My mom lives in Tampa Florida.

They all need to be arrested at 866 978-5847 for this scam...TRACK THEM DOWN!!!!

No cops but my neighbor gave me a sweet potato pie.  Smells yummy.

Suspected bank fraud.
