A message was left but not by a human.  Message left by Kathy Jackson from the Microsoft Refund  Department.  They said to call in to get my refund for payment of microsoft services they claim I paid 3 months ago.  They have been "ordered" to close and just want to refund my money.  Obviously another scam.

Left a message like Tia's above. If you call them back as they ask, they'll probably ask for your bank account number so they can "direct deposit" your "refund." Don't give it to them!

27 second voice mail left. Obvious scam as I never ordered any computer services.

Caller I.D. said "800 service". I did a *57 ( call trace ) and a *63 ( selective call forwarding to a disconnected # ). I did a *67 call back from a different phone and I did talk to a guy with a Bombay accent. He said he's with Microsoft........ I said I didn't order anything - then I gave him the " F- Bomb " and hung up ! I just read an article on this web site about several phone scammers getting arrested. I know this guy's voice. He's been scamming for many years !

*67 doesn't work when you're calling a toll-free number.

Said that she was with Microsoft and that I had paid for Computer Technical Support a couple of months ago, that they had been ordered to close and they had to issue me a refund.  Obvious scam.  They would already have the information to make a refund if in fact I had paid them.  They would also do it via US mail, as they would need the documentation of the payment being made.

Some scam about getting a refund for computer technical support. Nobody works on my computer except me. It’s a scam people becareful they want your information.

These people call me constantly on my cell and home phone. This new trick was inventive, though.  Claiming we have a refund.  This is a real number though.  Please help stop them by reporting them: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

Message left for me to call about a refund for computer services.  I knew it was a scam since I never ordered services.  Plus my children constantly remind me that scammers make these false stories.

Message about a “refund”.  It didn’t wait until answering machine greeting finished before starting the message so I didn’t hear any name or such info or what the “refund” was for.
Robo-voice sounds like the one from “Officer” somebody from IRS threatening arrest etc scam a while back.

Received a recorded call about refunding money from a computer repair contract made 3 months ago (which I did not do) and to call this number.  No name shown on my caller ID.  If you are ordered a refund, you shouldn't have to call them back.  They used the Microsoft name to make them sound legit.  This is a known refund scam where they ask for your bank account number to "refund" your money.  I hope no one falls for this scam.

This is at least the 8th Microsoft "refund" call we've received in the past couple of months, all with different prefixes and from different #s, but using the same recording. These scammers just don't give up. Thank goodness for call blocking.

1  CID:  Unknown Caller - Scam Flag
2  Obvious recorded computer monotone voice, poorly written to mimic English - Scam Flag
3  I'm an IT Pro, if Microsoft was forced to do anything, I would already know about it and not be hearing it from a scammer - Scam Flag
4  As an IT Pro, I'd never buy a service contract - Scam Flag
5  Microsoft never initiates calls to anyone, even if a refund was due they would make the consumer jump through hoops to get it - Scam Flag
6  Known, confirmed, and verified scam - Scam Flag

Standard SCAM from India

I have received 2 such calls in the past couple of days.  I did send a report to Microsoft so they would be aware of this scam.

Same as the other posts. Automated voice, computer support closing down, refund money.
