Scam. Frank from a power company which is relavent to the area. Claims power will be turned off over weekend if money is not immediately paid thru green dot money type order system. Been calling Asian restaraunts in Maine. Scammed owner out of $500.

I have same problem in Tulsa,Oklahoma

My place of business in Palmer Alaska was called from this number claiming that they were from the electric company and my power would be shut off at 1pm due no payment made for two months.  First I don't pay the electric it is included in my rent, second it is Saturday, third they did not know the name of the power company, forth the call back number he left 866-978-0825 is no good.  Called him back on the number he called from and he answered and I played like I was concerned about my power being shut off and how do I make the payment and he told me to go to 1200 1st Ave. and hung up.  I have called him 14 times now just to mess with him.  He just keeps hanging up on me.  How do these people live with themselves?  I'll probably screw with him some more throughout the day.  JERK!!!

I have never heard from this operation since I pay my bills. But I would not be surprised to see posts appear accusing everyone of being in debt. Needless to say these operations often have outdated information and end up calling people that have nothing to do with the person they are calling about.

My caller said he was from the DEA drug enforcement agency and it was very important I return his call immediately.  I did not return his call, but my sister said they also called her and said she had been buying drugs over the internet and she must get a green dot card and pay them for the fine or she would be arrested in the morning.  She called the number back that was on her caller ID and she said it was the police dept in California.  She told them she just got a call from this number and said they identified themselves as the DEA and to send money.  The dept said to do nothing, this was a scam.  If you see this number on your caller ID, just don't answer.  Don't be foolish enough to fall for this crap because they can be very real and scarry.
