these people are fake and try to get you to pay a small fee to keep your power from turning off...

Thanks Nathan.  They threatened to shut off electricity due to non-payment.  Said that to stop this from happening, I need to purchase a money card from a local drug store.  

Yea the business I worked for got this same call, but once you ask for customer service numbers, and establishment address and they back off... Don't let them bully you.

My boss called the energy company and they said it was a scam that's been going on for a year or so and they said don't pay... (common sense) no duh I won't pay...

Just hearing his voice told me its a scam! he sounded young, and when I ask for my account number he told me it was under collection so he didnt have it. Scammers!! JUst tell them to go to hell.

Same happened to me.  They said they were around the corner from our property and would disconnect electric if we did not pay.  I called our electric company and was told this is a SCAM...

Also just got a call. I spoke to two people. Both said that the truck was 30 to 45 minutes away! The total was going to be $497.22! Obviously they aren't making enough from you all if they came to me with such a high number, which is still less than $500 (the magic number that may make the scam a federal offense).

CID read 800 Service. First call I picked up and pushed #9 for about 20 seconds. They called right back and i did the same. 5 out of 7 calls to my business this morning where telemarketer or scam calls.

Called for our business location 3 different times.  We knew it was a scam.  Jerks

They called to and pretended to be my electrical company and they said if I did not pay my bill I was about to be disconnected.
