Call from a fraud perpetrator claiming to be from irs. Bad english, horribly aggressive. Tell him to eff off and hang up.

Rec'd a call saying from IRS claim that I own them money or else get arrested.

Received message from this person very unprofessional bad enlish. The IRS would not leave you a message stating they will arrest you. I believe it's a scam!!!

This caller had an Indian accent and called my Aunt five days in a row , leaving voice messages the she owes the IRS money, accused her of signing a check and is in trouble for fraud, etc...threatened that she would be jailed, insisted she call immediately, insisted she will need a good lawyer and 'good luck' with her 'problem' if she doesn't call him and work this out with him.

Receive the same call from this Indian accent male.......threat for arrest because of check fraud. What's even crazier is they even use your last 4 digit of ssi to make it sound legit!!!

Male 45yo with Indian accent , You will be taken to court and will  be arrested if you do not call the IRS, you owe us money, money, money.  You have have 10 hrs to call us back or the poilice will be at your door steps.  I am so so glad he also called you,  I am sure he was on a roll. same 866-978-6902.   Is this for real????????? very scary.

This guy is calling from India and he has your last 4-digit SS# because it is very common to obtain now in days. He claims his name is George although I worked with Indians and his accent is clearly Hindi. He claims that he has legal IRS documents and that you need to call back this number 866-978-6902 to get more information before he sends you to the authorities. First of all, the IRS will never call you. Secondly, they have people who speak clearly English. Thirdly, there are no "George" names in India, they are all Boogety-boogety names. Don't fall for this scam. Report him to the IRS and FTC so they can block this number.

These scammers often:
•    Call you. But when the IRS contacts people about unpaid taxes, they do it by postal mail, not by phone
•    use common names and fake IRS badge numbers
•    know the last four digits of your Social Security number
•    demand payment via a prepaid debit card or wire transfer. The IRS doesn’t ask for either of these payment methods, nor will they ask for credit card numbers.
•    rig caller ID information to appear as if the IRS really is calling
•    send fake emails that look like legitimate IRS correspondence
•    make a second call claiming to be the police or department of motor vehicles, rigging the caller ID information  
To protect yourself from imposters who call, claiming to be from the IRS:
•    don’t provide any account or other personal information. Hang up the phone.
•    never wire money to a person or company you don’t know. Once you wire money, you can’t get it back.
•    if you owe - or think you owe - federal taxes, call the IRS at 800-829-1040. IRS workers can help you with your payment questions. You also can visit the IRS website atirs.gov.
•    if you’ve already paid your taxes, call and report the incident to TIGTA at 800-366-4484.
•    forward emails from the IRS to phishing@irs.gov. Don’t open any attachments or click on any links in those emails.
•    file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission atftc.gov/complaint. Include “IRS Telephone Scam" in your complaint.

Yes, I did received 2-3 times but today I happened to pick my self, after 2-3 sentences he himself hung up. I tried to call him back this time. But as mentioned fraud ...no one pickup phone.

got a call from 8669786902... same nonsense about IRS and case being filed etc... i told him to stay on the line to i can get the local PD and my lawyer on the line... he hung up!
