"Hello, my name is Sean, calling from [mumble] Services, please give me a call back when you're free. My number is 866-978-6939." I'm pretty sure the [mumble] was intentional.

I got mumbling too.  Told me he was looking for me and I asked who he was and he said a mumbled name from *Maxxon Services*.  I questioned him more saying, you're calling for me?  He said he got a letter from his doctor to contact me, specifically.  I asked if it was his family doctor or a specialist and he hung up on me.

I recieved a phone call from this number and a man (name mumbled) asked me to complete a survey afterwhitch I would receive $45.  He said my name and number had been given to him by (name mumbled).   I asked him to speak up because I could not make out what he was saying. I then hung up on him but he called back instantly.  I did not answer the phone the second time.

Called my mobile number. Left a voice mail, "This is Sean Williams calling from [garbled] Services..." Definitely a scam.

Same - Jennifer from...(mumbled)..calling about...(mumbled) cal me back at 866-978-6939 if you're interested. Pronounced my last name wrong and it's not a weird one :)

Got a call at work from 866-978-6939.....She said it was jennifer and i couldn't heard what she said next. She talked pretty fast and said my whole name wrong. Weird..

This number is for some organization called Mantin Services (sp?),via India via a number in White Plains, NY, .  No one is sure what they do or what the surveys are for.  They use old information.  They keep phoning our hospital asking to speak directly to the physicians, saying physicians are interested in completing surveys (none of them are, and none of them remotely have time).

They call so many times in the week, that we recognize several of the numbers they use.  At this point, we just hang up on them.

They called me with the same opening line that the others report but also called me doctor.  When I told them I'm not a doctor, they lost interest and ended the call.  

They called asking for dr brown..i told them wrong number and he like this isnt a hospital or clinic? I said no..and he hung up..india accent..

Indian accent but called himself Kevin Smith. "Barely" audible.
Could not say our Dr. Name properly but claimed she had signed up to be part of a survey.
Asked if I could take a message and the next thing he said was mostly gibberish .. Said it was important to just put the doctor on the phone. Let him know that we were not interested in any foolishness or scams. He became annoyed and said I was not very intelligent.. :) So I just hung up

Called. Thick accent, mispronounced mt name. Couldn't understand the company

Funny same number from a girl who wanted computer information last week.
I called Mr. Faker foreigner, and asked him to explain himself. He didn't know what to say except breathe. I told him we spoke to WPS and he said oh, and hung up the phone. I called back and his mailbox was full.

This company is Mathan Services.  They are a legitimate company that survey doctors.  Their webpage is m-panels.com

I can verify that this caller from 866-978-6689 was calling as part of the tech support team at WPS which is Wisconsin Physicians Service, a critical organization that facilitates medical payments to PROVIDERS.  They do all of the Medicare processing for several states along with VA, CHAMPUS, BlueCross and many more..

I also want to note that I came here doing a search on 866-978-6949, totally different!
