I also today received a message from this phone number stating that it was from Federal Credit Union and my atm card has been suspended. Lies Lies.

Received a text message on my cell phone.  It said:

Application Center/This is an automated message from 66 Credit Union (which I do not have an account with) your ATM card has been suspended.  To reactivate call urgent 1-866-979-4555.

I received this at 9:23pm on 2/24/09

ApplicationCenter/This is an automated message from 66 Federal Credit Union. Your ATM Card has been suspended. To reactivate call urgent at 1-866-979-4555.

I received a text message stating that it was an automated message from '66 Federal Credit Union'. If further stated that my ATM card was suspended and I needed to call 1-866-979-4555 now. This is a SCAM. Don't fall for it. Call your financial institution directly instead of calling this number if you are concerned about your ATM card.

66 Federal Credit Union is an actual financial institute. They are also aware of this text message going around. They, themselves say it's a phishing scam. In fact, at the top of their website is the text "FRAUD ALERT: Increase in Fraudulent text messaging (SMS-ishing) detected." It's in a bright red banner,

Rec'd text message on my cell phone last night at 9:45. Same as the others (66 Fed Credit Union & ATM card suspended). Isn't there an agency to report this to? FCC maybe?

I got message from Hudson Savings bank, saying Debit card loacked...who is doing such messages..

I got the same message- and it was from Hudson City Savings Bank

I also received same message saying my atm card with Hudson City Bank was suspended.  Don't even belong to Hudson bank!!!

Received a text message from "5000" saying from "Hudson City Savings Bank", that my ATM is suspended and urgently call 1-866-979-4555.  It was sent at 10pm last night.

I believe this is a SCAM call using a legitimate business's name, but the phone number is NOT TO THIS INSTITUTION.

It angers me that I have to pay for this fradulent, obviously unsolicited scam text message.

Don't call this number!

Also received a text from 5000 making claims about my suspended atm card with hudson city bank.  Never heard of em so Im obviously not a member.  SCAM for sure.

I got it, saying McGraw Hill Federal Credit Union
