This came from an email this morning by "The Geek Squad." There was no mention of a company, name I could speak with and no email for me to reply to. I replied to the email given, but it was not found. So... beware of these scammers. I did not call them. I am reporting it to my bank tomorrow to inform them.

This was their email.

I received an email like above and I’ve quoted it below for reference. If you receive an email similar to this, do not bother responding and do not call the number. Delete it. Your money is safe.

This is the opening to what is known as a reverse refund scam.

I got the exact emailed to my phone only $319.15 but same name and phone number this morning. I did not call i am trying to find out if it is suspicious number also same time got another similar Safe Data Storage at 1-866-979-4793 $228.15

1-866-979-4793 emailed me today Safe Data Storage They got my order $229.15 NEVER HEARD OF THEM DID NOT ORDER FROM ANYBODY.

I also got another spam 1-888-680-9730 geek squad about NY prepay item of $319.15.

We got email thanking us for our order.  We did not order anything from these people.  Charge of $239.00

I received an e-mail today for remote service of $229, I did not respond and did not order anything from them.

This is a scam used by a company called IDS, New York. All they are trying to do is verify your identity. Don’t give them any info, they are scum bill collectors that use this tactic to find you.

IDS?  Not their full name?  Interesting since there is information about another DC in New York that has a company name that might use those initials.  But then that was posted under a different screen name so I guess it couldn't possibly be you now could it?

Got a Purchase Confirmation of $399.99 from 1-888-680-9730 claiming to be Norton Internet Security ( which was discontinued a couple years ago).  Don't reply.    Also claimed to be Geek Squad.
