It appears that they have a habit of violating the law.  Since they are located in Florida, I would suggest that you do the following:

You need to send them a certified, return receipt cease and desist calling or "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

They've been calling regarding my hospital bill that has since been written off by the hospital's financial assistance program. I've explained this to their customer service rep's and said that I can show proof but they refuse to accept my approval letter. I don't understand how they can dismiss this information then choose to harass me for payment when my hospital bill is literally at zero balance. I was really calm on the phone when explaining all this but they are just nasty..the lady raised her voice at me from the moment I answered the call.

Repeated calls everyday

~Garble~ Debt Collection message.  It is a recorded message. No indication of to whom they care to speak.

This number calls me 5-8 times a day, leaving the voice mail “7630... thank you” EVERY single time, I answered once and (just like everyone) the caller simply asked for my DOB, I said no and asked who is calling and they hung up. I am 100% sure that I do not have any outstanding debts.

To Future Reader and Posters:  

Gulf Coast has been putting up both shill posts and spam ads. Honest companies do not flood boards like WCM and 800notes with that sort of sleeze.  It seems they do similar on BBB web sites as well. Not good at all, not a good refection. It is also against site TOS to spam the sites and the threads with you crap.

As a warning to other posters - Be VERY careful about calls from this number - this is a debt collection outfit that places shill posts and spam ads on 800notes and WhoCallsMe.  As well as the BBB sites. Not a fair or honest practice.  A phone call is not sufficient, it they are trying to collect old debts, you have a right to have the debt proved.

Claimed to a medical bill collection company, and asked for my DOB. I refused to give out any personal information, and expressed my concern about fraudulence. I asked what institute they are collecting for, and how much money they wanted to collect. The man refused to answer, and said they will contact me in other ways.
