This number called claiming to be AT&T, requesting to set up a site survey for an upgrade on the account. The account they referenced had been closed and after asking questions it became apparent that accepting the site survey would actually approve re-opening the cancelled account. After calling them back to inform them the account had been closed, they said they would transfer me to the department that could update the records on their end, and then hung up.

They called about switching old AT&T lines from copper to fiber optic. I can't trace their phone number back.

Claims there is an urgent call about our expired contract about dedicated fiber for the buisiness.  Didn't have any actual information about our account.

Called our office pretty much daily for about a month; I always had it sent to voicemail. Answered it once and told them we don't have an expired account and to quit calling. That stopped for a while but they are back at it again. Weird thing is the voicemail transcription wants me to call the 866-993-9661 number but the voicemail From header has 866-490-3795 which I found old posts here about that number being a debt collector. Here's the message:
"Hello! My name is Alex Cruz, calling from at and T. Fiber connect for the business. I'm actually doing a follow up call about the expired contract for at and T. Account for the business, I personally handle the business on renewing a contract. If you reach this message, call me back at 8, 6, 6, 9, 9, 3, 9, 6, 6, 1. And look for me, Alex Cruz. Thank you, and have a great day "

Call from JP Johnson who said he was calling about an ATT fiber account that had expired.  Had no account information, so he was trying to run a phishing scam to get information from me.

total scam!   don't tell them anything.

said they were from AT&T calling about expired contract, no mention of service address or contract terms, asks to call a different number than the voicemail was left from - 10000% a scam
