    Called several times. They hung up a few times but they did claim to be Verizon. Naturally, they're not. They ARE 'Slammers'. Don't talk, hang up quickly. Moderately harmless if you know what you're doing.

    Got a call from this number on November, 2007 at 2:55pm.  When I picked up, no one spoke.  I waited about five seconds, then hung up.

    This type of call can, and should, be treated simply - without anxiety.
    'Phil' is absolutely correct! In every case, when the phone rings - pick it up; say 'hello' - nothing more. If you don't get a response within the first second, (that's one - (1) second); hang-up. You can view your caller I.D. after you've ended the call. If you hung-up on your elderly grandma - you can always call her back and apologize or come up with a quick excuse. Remember: say nothing more than hello, wait one second for a response, then break the connection - quickly; (never stay on the line)! This rule should be followed for all incoming calls.

    I got this call today and they didn't exactly say they were from Verizon. But what I did here was them ask for the person who handles the verizon bill and that raised red flags. I played dumb and said the person wasn't available and when they inquired further, I said I was a house guest. Next time I'll ask them to hold on and put the phone down and have them sit there, Maybe play the radio in the background.

    Got a call from them today at 5:59  11/19/2007.

    We didn't answer.

    Caller ID showed they called on 10:37AM on 11/7 and 12:23PM on 11/9.

    We don't answer calls from numbers or poeple we don't know.

    If I pick up the phone and say "hello," I hear a click on the other end as if it could be an automatic hang-up

    If I don't pick up, my voice mail kicks in, and there is an automatic disconnect.

    I received a call from 866-994-8796 and they stated that my Verizon phone account may have been charge too much.  He wanted permission to review my account.  If he worked for Verizon and there was a problem with my account, should he not have the right to review it?

    He stated his name as Michael Gunn.

    I call 866-994-8796 and spoke with customer service.  This number belongs to  Integral Choice.

    They verified the employee Michael Gunn and stated that Verizon hired this company to reduce business phone bills.

    Integral Choice is not a company that slams their customers. Actually if you take the time a listen to the information their cust, service reps have in reference to your active acct. you very well be satisfied. The rep that I spokw with was very helpful to me. I am a very busy business owner and just pay my bill. But, the savings on the feature cost that I received after the review of my acct. I will call Integral Choice before I call Verizon. The hold and wait time is terrible. Also, the customer conern isn't there. Thank you Integral Choice.

    I work for Intergal Choice in Buffalo, NY... we actually are not slammers or a scam, we are a customer reps for phone company's for verizon, AT&T. Bellsouth, Embarq, and Quest. It is true that sometimes the reps do miss present themeselfs and say they are from verizon or whatever phone company they working on but they are suppose to say for not from. And if you ask them if they really from verizon,AT&t, etc. they are suppose to tell you Integral choice... All we do is put saveings on your account if you qualify or some are to switch you like they say they for AT&T and if you do not got AT&T they will try an get you to switch... Please do not play games thou like say they not there or a house guest cause we have to put you through the busy/no answer option which can pop your call back up at any time, we use automatic dialer's. Just say not interstead or put me on the do not call list please and they will they might ask why but they will do it. Hope this helped you all out.

    Actually, due to new CPNI rules, they must ask to get permission to view your account.  All telecom providers that is.  Sounds like they are doing their job correctly!
